Due to the lack of announcements and efforts made by the league staff, I would also suggest delaying the league by at least a week or two. It seems like we are not at all prepared for the league, and one of the most important jobs of a league operator is to keep the information flowing to generate some additional hype and interest towards the league. You can't expect things to run smoothly without properly communicating with the players and squads.

.. and yes, I know very well that the league is ran on a volunteer-basis which is simply another valid reason to delay the season to grant our new operators more time to prepare. I am willing to help with setting up the league should it be needed, but I can't make any large-scale commitments due to my rather hectic schedule right now.

as an added note, TWDT would not make much sense right now, and I feel like the general consensus among our players is that they would much rather play a well-coordinated TWL season over it.

we need announcements, we need hype, we need something to be motivated to play TWL for and get active for.....and these discussions of delaying it etc have been going on a week nearly and still no active response from those running it.

I would of course want to play TWL as often as possible but I honestly think that it should be delayed as well. That kind of announcement will not reach/motivate any returning player and current population seems to be at all time low. Summer hasn't even started yet for real.

What comes to TWDT, I think TWL should be next league since it is time for it. There needs to be top level competition instead of unbalanced draft league where draft order gives you huge advantage/disadvantage and head operator makes biased decisions/changing rules in mid season etc.

About TWL, roster limits should be even stricter. One other thing that might be worth trying is limiting top level players to 12 per team and giving like 8 filler spots to 6* or lower. I'm not liking it though since the perfect ratings are impossible to give. Ultimately, TWL has to remain a league where you can choose the persons you are playing with. Otherwise it is just a one-way ticket to a lot of people quitting the game.

Yea maybe its not the best time to start twl, i feel the zone is pretty dead currently with very little interest. we all know the game is declining in pop but it seems worse than usual and the fact that it's summer may be one of the factors. I dont think twl will make the zone more active either based on the past when twd dies down hard during twl.

it may be best to talk to the caps of all the teams who would participate in twl to gauge interest
