You'll notice Solstice will begin caring less and less about TWDD
    I'd rather be SubSpacing.

Activeness in a squad will only accelerate the path which a squad takes. The path it takes will be determined by skill, of the opponents, and the squad itself. The more active you are, the more you play, the more you play, the more chances there are of winning and losing.
This is nice, except it's completely wrong. You act as though each player's skill, and the skill of the squad overall, is some fixed value, when it's not at all. Activity [activeness] is the ONLY way a squad with talented players will improve and do well, since TWL is a team game and they need to practice together. Sure, there's some inherent skill, but you act as though activity is useless apart from being a showcase for what squads can always do. I don't think it's unreasonable to say that I was one of the better sharks in the game when I played, but I've been unable to for a year now (damn English connection) and if I came back tomorrow I'd likely suck pretty hard until I got into sync with my squad again. Just felt like being argumentative.
The downside of being better than
everyone else is that people tend to
      assume you're pretentious. -

Siruis has a point, I think he should also use the word momentum or on a roll. The question is what type of roll? winning or losing streak?

Too much activeness is not good.
Too much stagnation is not good.

A balance of the two, and combined with wise challenge decisions then you can yield greater wins, of course provided that your squad maintains or increases in their squad skills/tactics.

For example, if a squad makes it to the top, and just sits back... they become in a sense a fat cat, start to stagnate and rot.

But in the last message, General Malaise said its good for a squad to be active; I also agree... stagnation means death...

Its good for a squad to play a better squad every once and awhile. Why? Like for example you play a game a chess with a friend who isn't that good. Now it will get boring, and you won't learn much. Now if you play a chess master, you might lose, but you learn new moves..etc...

I think it is good Solstice will move into a league of challenge, cause they might grow bored of twdd and quit altogether...who knows..heh. But at the same time twdd should never be looked down upon, because it serves a purpose, pool of growth/potential. lol

as usualy sirus you miss the point and seem more interesting in arguing then actually reading and understanding a post...

my statement said that being active was not a good or bad thing...the whole point of the post was that playing newb squads to be #1 does not make you the best contender for the #1 spot for TWL replacement but that the system promotes that ability and would hopefully be adjusted to prevent that from happening down the road for the benefit of all

Seriously. I hate the quoting "style" of italics. Italics are used for emphasis, not quoting. Do it right please.

Ünited Stätes Toughens Image With Umlauts WASHINGTON, DC—In a move designed to make the United States seem more "bad-assed and scary in a quasi-heavy-metal manner," Congress passed a bill Monday changing the nation's name to the Ünited Stätes of Ämerica. "Much like Mötley Crüe and Motörhead, the Ünited Stätes is not to be messed with," said Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK). An upcoming redesign of the Ämerican flag will feature the new name in burnished silver wrought in a jagged, gothic font and bolted to a black background. A new national anthem is also in the works, to be written by composer Glenn Danzig and tentatively titled "Howl Of The She-Demon."

This is just my suggestion , TWL is going great and I like it even tho I can't enjoy watching some great games cause of summer school.

                  Its as simple as this:

                  - TWL STARTS
                  - Rosters get locked
                  - Squads that dissolve after week one do not get replaced
                  - TWL reaches its midpoint (ALL STAR GAME IS HELD)
                  - TWL continues going smoothly

I know u can't force squads not to dissolve , however I think having stricter rules for example the ones I mentioned in this post , helps keep great players and some squads in TWL.
You gotta keep fans satisfied , no disrespect to the squads that replaced ones who droped out but nobody wants to see games like -Solstice- vs Faded (relax am not trash talking the 2 squads and am not sure if these 2 squads will even meet in the remaining season)
Bottom line is Replaced squads so far did not do much , they lost almost all of their games and did not make any difference in the playoff life of another squad like Rampage , Pallies etc..
Only upset was Burning Rose vs Whiterabbits which some people find questionable.
This TWL season is pretty much done and playoffs are heating up , I look forwoard to watching some well earned playoff squads compete against each other (thats if I get out of summer school )

                  -Tyson
                  It's quite simple actually.

                  1) If you don't replace squads that drop out, the schedule gets infinitely messed up. Just think about how you could make an even somewhat fair schedule with missing squads really hard and you'll see why.

                  2) You can't stop people from disbanding, but you also don't want to screw over too many people who are on squads that disband early. The round 5 lock is to tell people that after then they should stick with their squad or not play TWL. Having it a bit later gives squads some time to recruit and finalize rosters over the 3-4 month TWL period.

                  3) It's hard to have an all-star game in the middle of the season. In professional sports, (say the NBA, MLB or NHL) you've already played 40 games by then, and from previous seasons have a good idea who are the all stars. In TWL, it is much closer to the NFL where you've only played very few games, and the real stars haven't had time to shine yet. As well because of the nature of TW/SS it is hard to say people who were good last season are still good now.
