sure server. Only two people have retired from my squad and I have kept my starters... but sure I knew that when I would complain about things some people would redirect it to Egyptian/me.

well with the discussions this season regarding roster lock.... maybe they will consider its changes for next season...

i dont see why an ineligibility time is unreasonable.....

if you ?squadleave and left the TWD roster....

as long as it was able to determine the date that the TWD roster was done.....

a 3 week waiting period would be reasonable...

and perhaps that a stipulation that anyone joining a different TWL squad, that had already played in TWL on one squad...would be ineligible for playoffs if done after week 5 or something like that...


that would be a small deterrent against squad jumping to a contender..... yet if you were leaving for real conflict reasons....you may still have time to play a few games or help the new squad....

plus anyone that was not playing on a TWL roster would still be recruitable to prevent issues like what happned with the crips this season... although you maybe still want a 1 (or 3) week ineligibility period for these people

only thing is that staff would have to aliases im sure on recruits done for non-TWL players to make sure it wasnt coming out of aliases

anyways...something to rethink for next season...im sure staff spend a lot of time agonizing over rule changes as they are under the microscope with everything they do for the leagues

Well, looks like Nas comes out with the premature ejaculation of poorly contemplated thoughts, theories, and motives behind the actions and/or factual background concerning Solstice. I believe John [Escalate/Alwaysdrunk] did a good job with clearing up Nas' unfortunate mess of misunderstandings, but I'll go through it a bit more concisely just to set the record straight.

But: -Solstice- has been around since mai.

Correction, Solstice has been around since the end of February, and we applied for twd around March 3rd-5th. For the sake of your own credibility, try to get your facts straight before you go on an escapade in an attempt to prove points.

My poor deluded friend, before you go on any further with your incessant ramblings, let me inform you that none of us payed any attention to the boards concerning dissolving squads or league opportunities. We had figured we missed our chance back when Focus made leagues, and when Cripples chose not to dissolve. Since then, we've forgotten about leagues this season, and looked forward to them next season. The announcment concerning Solstice having a chance to get into leagues was brought to my attention first, and at the same time as was the announcement that Solstice did get into leagues. It hit us when we least expected it. In fact, when I told the squad The Pusher messaged me, we didn't have the slightest clue as to why.

Now that I've explained that we had no clue about opportunities to get into twl until the day I was informed we are taken into Twl at my consent, let me tell you what our roster looked like at that point, not counting our new basing aspect which does not twdd.

Chronotrigga, Sirius., Stylez, Splatz, Nessy, Killermech, Escalate/Alwaysdrunk, Independence, Russian Assassin, The Grouch, FsTemplar, Duclover, Decanus, and Thieves.

Those are our only wb's, and quite frankly, all have been on Solstice for at least a month before this announcement that we are in Twl. All of them came onto the squad knowing we will not be in leagues this season.

Actually, on the contrary, when we got into leagues we practically stopped hiring altogether. Nobody joined Solstice for about a month before we got into leagues, and 1 person joined after, who isn't eligible and didnt even know we were in leagues probably.

As for aliased people, Solstice is made up of original people, not a bunch of squadhopping vets. We may not have an original name, but we're certainly one of the most original squads, considering pretty much almost all good league squads are made up of tons of vets who've hopped around countless times, and broke off into countless squad denominations. Just because you don't know them and they're good, doesn't mean they're aliased people.

Also Splatz and Stylez rejoined.

Stylez has a temper problem, and left the squad because some people bailed on a twdd he hosted. He then attempted to start a civil war against Solstice by taking 2 more members with him and some ex Solstice members and starting up some new squad. After their attempt went in vain and they lost a number of twdd's against us, they decided to rejoin. Again, this was over 1.5 months ago, had nothing to do with leagues at all.

I hope you're not talking about Solstice, because everyone who is on roster now and was when we got invited into leagues, was on roster for a long time before that as well, no less than a month.

I don't even see why you bring up the tons of players we supposedly acquired [which were the exclusive basing aspect of Solstice], 85 % of our twdd's are played by the same 4, 5 people.

You can howl that you have no problem with Solstice yet slap down this thread titled 'Abuse of Roster Lock' and put Solstice on the spotlight for 90 % of your post, but I see that as an attack.

Next time I suggest you either learn to not set yourself up for misinterpretation if you expect me to believe you have no problems with Solstice, or come up with a more witty comment concerning your thoughts of a squad.

I have no problem with your supposedly constructive post concerning roster locks or your ideas to better the system, but I suggest you get your facts straight next time you choose to go off on a fiasco like this concerning pointing at a squad as an example, otherwise it's simply a pity to watch yourself ruin your own credibility by claiming a bunch of illegitimate points.

axe the idiot, for your own good. you guys seem cool enough, don't need somebody giving ur squad a bad name on the outside, and tearing it up on the inside. trust me, it will make it alot easier to stay together come next twl.

i think that -Solstice- is not getting what Na$ is saying....Na$ isnt attacking Solstice in any way or saying that they exactly cheated the system (in which they sorta did), or anything about Solstice, the thread was to point out the downfall on roster lock to the twl ops, but somehow solstice turned it around that its them vs Na$ lol, i still think Na$ has a valid point that roster lock is stupid, and after the roster lock Solstice had them weeks + the 2 TWL delay weeks to recruit ppl who were once on TWL squads and werent on (for soem reason)...just thought i'd let u know that yes Na$ does bitch alot but this time he is sorta right<--spelled for u rich

Sirius: again it doesnt really matter when you did get those people, if it was just a day ago or somewhere in june. Like I said a lot of people joined between the 8th of june and the end of june. (you can look it up on twd.org , all people are logged as 6th of june to be eligable) Thats after the rosterlock.

Even though you are not around mai, but since february that even makes my point even stronger: why would a squad that has been around since february the right to be able to get people after the rosterlock ? They have so much time already to build up a squad.

And yes it were too people who were already in twl for a squad: killermech and someone else. Maybe Decanus, not sure tho.

And yes this isnt about solstice but about the rosterlock.
And I have no problems with Epi, he is doing a fine job, I am just doubting if we should keep this rule in this form next season.

Nas, try to understand one simple thing. As soon as The Pusher told me we were in Twl he said from that instant not a single person could join our squad and be eligible for it. Before that we didnt even have any thoughts of getting into this season anymore therefore your points are void concerning Solstice.

Well Randled, earlier this afternoon Stylez was removed from Solstice, due to another one of his unfortunate tantrum outbreaks in the squad chat, concerning an issue which he was then proved innacurate about [he flamed at me for getting his gf upset supposedly, when it was him she was upset at].

I have nothing against Stylez, and have attempted to befriend him and work with his anger issues for a long time now, but unfortunately I have gained little ground and it only turns worse over time. Hopefully Stylez will now have the opportunity to find a squad which will be captained by someone who can tolerate his anger longer than I have, although I find that to be a slim chance, given the negative impact which resonates onto the squad as a whole from his actions. If it simply affected me, I may have continued to deal with it without removing him. And while this outcome is most unfortunate, I, as long as others, believed this choice to have played in favor of Solstice's future, and I tip my hat to Stylez for whatever he chooses next.

and an afterthought to this topic. . .

i have no problem with people from twd joining twl bound squads after the lock. not even if they want to join a squad already in twl, something like a callup from the minors maybe?

i think the roster lock should only apply to twl players on a roster. ie. if a player is on a twl squad when the lock occurs, they can't leave that squad for another(twl or twd).

this kind of system would help squads in the even their players do abandon them (ie. the cripples situation), and perhaps give the lesser twl squads a chance of improving mid-season.

i agree with randedl. roster lock should be used to prevent teams jumping from one twl squad to another during the season, not to prevent up and comers from getting on a team. it might not be cool to allow the adding of players in the playoffs, even if they arent previously in leagues though. i could see some ppl getting upset if in the first round of the playoffs a squad decided to pick up a couple of skilled vets that had sat out the first part of TWL for whatever reason and threw them in the lineup. what i would suggest is perhaps a much later "total" roster lock in which all rosters are completely frozen maybe around week 7 or 8, to go along with the TWL player roster freeze whenever that takes place.
