Abuse of rosterlock

or we can do it like it was done b4 or close to it where if they jump from a squad penalize them say a month of NO twl game instead of just 3 days like it usta be....roster lock is stupid dont penalize teh whole squad bc certain ppl want to jump to winners...if u made it a long period to penalize the person (fersay a month or 4 games) that would also prevent alot of ppl jumping to the "winning" squads at the end of the season or lock the rosters like a wek or 2 b4 playoffs...not in the beginning of half way through

and Sirus to us current TWL squads it was like "cheating the system" to us bc we couldnt recruit anyone to help us but u got a full roster up to when pusher told u...especialy for cripples who lost 1/2 there active rostered ppl b4 the lock...we couldnt go replace them

Yes Cig, but the point I am trying to make is that we didn't hire anyone specifically for leagues or in anticipation of being incepted into leagues this season.

and my point is that you did recruit people after rosterlock (a lot) and that they are eligable for twl, even though your squad has been around since february.

well I dont know about faded havent watched them yet. But Faded got created after rosterlock right ? so thats a little different, but I dont know much about faded though.

plus na$ is only in TWLD so he was pointing out the squad in his league...and like he said -S- was made way back, faded was just created (already after roster lock)

and yes sirus i understand u didnt go out and get them jsut for the league, but its the POINT we are argueing not ur squad, hell if i was u i would of went and got my roster loaded up to u were smart, we are simply pointing out the stuipdness of roster lock

Nas as long as it are just those easy newbie squads (that you beat with 50-32) you shouldn't really care if before they get into twl they recruit a shit load of newbies, or recruit newbies that dropped out of twl because their squad dissolved.

We still need a rosterlock because there are a lot of unloyal ppl out there and who will try to join squads that go to playoffs when their don't.
(Tho those squads that don't make playoffs usually don't have any great players either... Hmm.. i don't really give a shit)

I agree, I was playing elim one day and out of no where the moron is talking about why I get so many kills in elim because of my lag? I said well, yes I do lag -- that and I really don't play to win I just rush around in elim trying to rack up kills ect. But he kept opening his mouth like he knew me and was obsessed over my 56k connection. I think Solstice is a good young squad, but when you have idiots/newbies like Stylez talking out of their ass and trying to start shit. Not to mention I laughed even more at him after Sirius. just mentioned he(stylez) tried to break up solstice then went crying back after he failed. lol gg

Nas, accept the fact that I was retorting vs your hostile implications towards Solstice. You can deny this all you want and say you had neutral intentions etc. etc., but the post speaks clearly for itself, as you had quite a few accusations towards Solstice in it, concerning the roster lock.

Another aspect you should consider, is that the people who left Solstice after roster lock and came back (Stylez Splatz) would have never done so had we been in leagues. Therefore the two negate one another, we werent in leagues, so they left, came back, and then we got into leagues. Otherwise it would have been - We were in leagues, nobody left, so by the time this time came they would have still been here.

Rofl, besides, how is it different with Faded having been made after roster lock? The same flaw you point out in an already existing squad's case is applied in a parallel manner here as well. Bunch of ex dissolved/axed league squad's members form a squad after roster lock, add everyone they want, get into first, make it into leagues, and there you have it, the reaper back from the dead.

Dabram: I understand my friend, but I feel more for a * days eligable system + the fact that a player can only play for one different squad in twl.

Sirius: I dont think I accused Solstice of something. In fact, I didnt accuse solstice of anything I believe, because if I accused solstice it means I would want solstice to get disqualified or something simular, but I only concluded that the rosterlock can gets abused. Maybe abused is a too heavy word, but still I wouldnt change it. I do reckon that some of the things I said may not be 100% true, maybe for 80%, but that doesnt change the fact that your squad were able to have a lineup ready that got recruited after the 8th of june, even though your squad was around since february.

Faded however is a different story. Maybe I should Faded suspicious if I hear all those negative comments about it, but in this situation I believe that a squad made after the rosterlock simply allways recruits after the rosterlock. Thats quite obvious. You could add another rule for that: only new squads that has played x amount of matches can get into twl, or squads made before the rosterlock. But maybe that would be a negative thing, since tw should support new squads to get them stable, which solstice already was. But again in this thread solstice is only an example, not the subject.

ya i agree faded did it to

and bram that can be pretty much avoided by 1)those playoff squads not accepting ppl 2) making it a punishment like fersay Im on cripples...and after say when was roster lock? week 5..so after week 5 say weeek 6 i jion disoblige bc of playoffs...then they record that i left after week 5 and i can wait my 4 days or wahtever t hen i can playout the season...but when playoff's come i cant play...that will make it simple enough that ppl wont wanna jump from a squad that mite make playoffs to a squad who WILL make playoffs rite b4 playoffs...bc then they cant play...but dont make it that the whole ROSTER is locked...bc if say Cripples recognize someone in pub on week 7..they recruit him..as long as he wasnt on a current TWL squad and left them he should be able to play...but u'd havta watch for alt nicks and whatnot but from what i hear thats ez to trace that stuff...mtie be more work but it'd make squads who aer dying stay alive longer and such..plus maybe make it more competative
