My decision was fully based on what the ref (Malice Mutt <ER> ) told me had happened. I trust the refs to not lie.

a trench wars staff member has their position because they are trusted to provide an unbiased account of the game they referee.

epi can't know what goes on for all 24 games that happen every weekend, he has refs that do such things beneath him.

Just from what i read the simple fact is, nobody got warned. How can you enforce a rule if the staff didn't do there part? Thats what I don't get.

It seems like that's actually the most fair thing. Otherwise, the appeal is being sent to the person who made the ruling in the first place.

there's no need for an appeal. i'm not trying to get a rematch or any of that other stuff. melee won the game. i'm just pointing out that it shouldn't have been treated as a forfeit, and that melee should not receive a +117k bonus advantage over other squads competing for a playoff spot.

in case you haven't figured this out yet, rand, none of this really affects cripples at all since we're not going to make the cut for playoffs anyways. however, i don't see that as any reason to let poor judgement and blatant disregard of the rules slide by. if you want a well-organized and unbiased league, then you have to handle each situation fairly. if you don't, then what good are rules anyways if history has shown that authority figures can bend them as they wish?

i know how much you want that bonus (since you were the one trying to get us forfeitted at the end of the match), but it's pretty bad when after the match, more than half of your basing lineup sent pm's to our players apologizing for the outcome of the game and saying the score should've stood as is.

10.21 If a game ends by result of a forfeit, the losing team will be given a score of 0 points for and 100,000 against, and the winning squad will receive a score of 100,000 points for and 20,000 points against. Squads will be allowed to have a total of 2 forfeits per season. If that amount is exceeded, the squad will be removed from participation in their respective league.

melee was given 17k too many points and need to have 20k removed from the 100k to make 80k positive gain for them. i hold my tongue on saying anything else.

we had earned 117k with all our players who were left in the game, none of yours were in the game when it ended, nobody was in to get the points

and i discussed lookin for a rematch with my squad, either you're makin something up or they were just trying to be nice, but nobody responded to me saying they wanted a rematch.

and yes, i asked the ref to do something, because as you said, the tiebreaker matters. when you guys specced when you did, we lost any points we would've earned in the final portion of the game.

and i really don't think you guys care about that, this is more just to stir up a commotion, admit it.

Radn, regardless of how the game ened. If epi calls it a forfeit then it must be treated as such. Unless we are creating a new way to lose which defies all rules. Then in that case you may keep your free 117k bonus. But according to the rules one of two things must happen:
A)Cripples are awarded their points they earned during the game and it is only counted as a loss for cripples. Thus melee gets their 117k points but not freely

B)The game is ruled a forfeit by rule 10.21, which explicilty states what should occur. In plain bold english.

So, it seems pretty clear to me what must be done.

I guarantee you that you're right. The attitude they've been showing to most of their other twl games shows this. Showing up only 6 people in a twlb game and then saying things like "We're playing the whole game just to annoy you" (not an exact quote) and shit.
