I think it should be pointed out that Epi has stated to me that appeal rulings do not need to be based on a rule. They can be judgement calls.

Basically, it should be assumed that there is a Rule 11.1 : The TWL Ops have the right to make any decision regarding the final outcome of a match. This decision may, but is not required to, take into account Rules 1-10.

follow your rules down to the letter, and then you won't be stepping on anyone's toes. if someone has a valid problem, then the rule can be debated on and changed later for the next season (example: the roster lock). but (as crome knows), changing things on the fly is the wrong thing to do because it turns fact into opinion and your twl op is no longer trustworthy.

anyways, epi's solution is to ignore the problem until it goes away. so no matter how much i've rocked this debate from every possible angle, it won't matter because epi is too proud to admit he's wrong.

ya atleast crome admitted when he was wrong..and tried to fix it...and yes we dont really care if we win/lose but we still take pride in things...if we lose fairly or lose bc its 8v5 thats different then being forced to have a 117k-0k loss...and as PV pointed out it should be 100k for them if it was considered a forfeit...everyone is starting to see...and as shaddles said what if this happend to someone who did care...he's lucky it happend to someone like us who aint in playoffs....why write rules if u arent gonna keep to them...and if ur <ER>'s are so great he should of known the score at the end of the game (or the bot) (no offence Malice) but either way epi was wrong

Of course, but you have to take into account that the staff hired for Trench Wars is not fully professional. This isn't a game with financial responsibilities on behalf of the users; if Trench Wars was a pay monthly type of game, the Trench Wars faculty would change overnight, due to a heightened presence of legal matter. Half of the abuse shit wouldn't get off the ground, let alone fly anywhere.

if you guys look at the standings (after the week 9 games go through) elusive is the squad that stands to lose the least. it wasn't self serving.

having concrete rules always has room for people to stir up shit, i know in hz they have their set of rules, and a rule that superseeds all saying that the ref is right.

and yeah, maybe it would be different if it wasn't cripples on the losing side, but on the other hand, how many other squads in twl could you see doing this stuff. . .

Lagging out and just hanging around in spawn? When the bad lag hit, that's basically what a-s did. If one more had lagged out in WR vs BR week 6, wr probably would have, too.

But that doesn't mean anything. This should be looked at independant of who it addresses.

sorry, you didn't have 4 people in at the buzzer, cause I showed up late came into the arena and you were all specced with a couple mins to go. Now say I'm a liar, because you will I don't care, point is you did not have anyone in when the buzzer went or my eyes have completely failed me.

brain fart, up in ya!, a mole, and utopia were the ones still playing while your eyes happened to go blind on you. that's 2 spiders, a shark, and a terrier. brain fart's lag kept booting him, but he never got trapped in spec. a mole was the terrier who got booted for about 5 minutes towards the end of the game. so if anything, you might have come in and seen us with 2 people for a few seconds, but the other 2 returned as soon as their lag permitted them (and all 4 were in fact in the game for the last minute or so).

but you can still have a cookie for trying. it's really cute.
