Fine ... but you can't start *assuming* that cram sharks don't have mining skill or other skills ... (am I fair in saying that you are assuming jr, gab, eggs, grev, cred, zerz, and other "cramming" sharks have no "mining skill"?) ... I bet they are every bit as good in other aspects of sharking ... they just choose to focus on the essential part of cramming ... which is repping/protecting their teammates.

Edit: 1) Boring is based on your personal opinion ... some ppl think cramming is boring and others don't 2) One part of basing that makes it fun is when the nme comes up with something and your team has to find a way to defeat it. Don't tell me that you (only referring to you Face) ... have given up on trying to defeat the cram ... even your teammates have not given up trying ... props to Pallies for that btw.

Slightly off topic, but for the most part, pallies don't complain about the cram, and they DO cram (It was actually mythrandir that came up with the cram in the first place... how quickly we forget). we just usually do it with less spiders.

That was what I was saying in fact.. some of em are very skilled sharks and do mine very well but some of em have no idea about mining tricks. Not gonna start naming here since I think they know theirself whether they can mine or not... some of those sharks can 'outplay' experienced sharks with their few months prac wich actually only has given the skills for cram since it is obey-repeat- type of play..

I do not think it's the idea of ANY ship that by learning one aspect of the ship you can outplay more versatile players just becos there is a certain flaw in map wich allowes that.

But this is the topic I would rather keep out of conversation since bringing names in isn't needed and it's rude.. so can we please stop this here? This is getting very out of topic and is not needed

Who are you to say a new baser does not have skill just bc he or she crams? It seems ignorant of you to base your judgements on the cram alone instead of looking at the squad itself and its individual players. You do not know how much time and energy Spastic has put into trying new things and finding out what is the best ... you do not know how hard it was for pubbers who were originally LT's to learn how to use the shark. Now you claim just bc a shark crams, he or she automatically lacks skill? Watch them in a lining situation before you talk like that (have you ever seen Spastic line? ... bc we have tried it ... ask WR ... disclaimer on the specific game I'm referring to ... it was a TWD game and Spastic played the majority of the game with lines).

many players on cramming teams play multiple ships ... many cramming teams have also tried lining and many other strategies. And with that said ... I'm done trying to defend ppl who play the cram (which includes the very ppl who are opposed to it ... if you play cram ... often or not ... you know who you are).

if miau has ever said that anyone lack skills I know that she would never say it w/o a reason. She has obviously watched ,whoever she has been saying suck, in different situations and compared it with some other players. And if she has said it its probably also a missunderstanding.
There are more ways to judge a player than to see them play in twlb sufficent. twdb, ?go base and pub for example, and Im sure she has.

I am of course defending a squadmate here, but trust me... she is not that kind of person.

I know that Miau prob wouldn't blatantly say someone doesn't have skill. However ... I just want to know if she has ever seen Spastic's sharks in a lining situation? ... and if that was enough basis to assume what you did ... as you just said Mantra, you have to watch someone in several times in different situations in order to make a judgement like Miau just did.

a better analogy would be comparing the cram to the neutral zone trap in hockey. sure, it's beatable... but not consistently beatable. and lots of people complain about it because teams with no skill whatsoever are forcing close games with teams that should obliterate them and winning on lucky bounces. but the main point in the neutral zone trap argument is that the entire league is suffering because the trap makes the flow of the game grind to a screeching halt and more and more of the superficial fans are leaving to pursue other sports. a league can't survive too well without population.

now, as much as we'd want to, we can't use "boring" as an excuse here. i think people who would rather play a brainless boring style than a challenging FUN style are retarded... but it's irrevelant in debate. BUT.... if basing league population takes a downward spiral because of stagnancy, then that whole argument becomes very legit.

right now, basing is on course to become just as generic as warbird matches. are you sure you want that to happen?
