Game type: TWLB
Thought: Having a maximum of 0 ship-type-changes (SCs) is bad.
Proposal: Offer 1-2 SCs only per game.
Reasons:
1. Remember what TWLB is meant to test (IMO at least).
Allowing 0 SCs places a hard commitment on what ship-types your team starts with, i.e. the manager's first and only decision on ship-types. For this reason, I will argue that we might as well call it "Trench Wars Ship Selecting League". Select a bad lineup and it's possible to be doomed from the start. Let's test something else, rather than the ability for a manger not to make this mistake.
2. It will increase ship-lineup variety. (Well you guys said 5-spid was boring, right?)
I think I can safely say that 5-spid is the 'low-risk' lineup. Squads may not want to commit to something too risky that they can't change later. At least with 1-2 SCs, they can add a Jav, and go back to 5-spider if they really want. They could even go with just one shark and afford to put another back in if things don't work out.
Notes:
a. Reason 2 will only apply if TWL allows 5 spids. I think people should have as many spids as they want, so I included this scenario.
b. The SCs cannot be abused to facilitate continuous "one strat for entering base, one other for defending", as only 1-2 SCs will be allowed, maximum.
c. TWLB at the moment will only allow 0 SCs right? Otherwise nevermind.
Any thoughts?
