I don't have a dog in the fight considering my team isn't matched up with either squad, but we have to get beyond digging through the rules that were written on something the size of a flash card whenever something happens in the gray area. We have a rule set that is copy and pasted because we don't have a paid commission of highly intelligent people debating and coming up with the best solution to every possible scenario like the NFL every offseason.

Most of the time, you just hope that your league op can be the adult in the room and deal with these matters in a fair and common sense kind of way when they do happen. Let's be real, every team besides power and curse went into week 5 knowing they had to perform and compete their way into the playoffs. None of us were safe, and we all played those games accordingly with a playoff level of intensity. Unfortunately, one of us wasn't going to make it.

There were games when I let the opposing team take my solid 6* players like blt_12 and he was competing against us like we were rivals. I almost had to pm him to type ?squad blt_12 to remind him which legion he was on because he was a rabid fucking animal. We just have to deal with this kind of shit unfortunately with our small playerbase.

I get the appeal, but it wouldn't sit right for it to get accepted at this point. We played the games to decide the playoffs week 5 and the results should have been the final decision.

Can you win anything in this game without looking for loopholes or forcing delays?

24 hour appeal isn't something that randomly happened 3 years ago, it's something that has been consistently applied to leagues for literally decades, to prevent the type of stupid fishing expeditions on display right now.

First league I have played and I have to say a couple things, and I’m sure all the egers / other zone players who have begun tw will feel the same way. First of all, borrowing in normal twjd/twdd is amazing, but to do this in a league setting is surreal to me and was surprised to see.. if a squad doesn’t have enough then the GM did not do a good job drafting active players, plain and simple, and okay fine if you want to keep doing this then AT LEAST allow a borrow only from someone who is a 5-6*.

You don’t want to start cyclone? that’s understandable. Good guy but he is just very bad.. It is what it is.

Second thing.. What the hell is wrong with these ratings... I am new here, 6* is right for me, so why the heck do I see 6* players in every team that should not be. I see 6* players that play very well, are seasoned vets who have played here for YEARS.. making it tough for us true 6* players to get any play time (Only reason I have played a lot is because major is awesome and no other 6* players show.) Put 5* players for the next TWDT OR make the ratings from a scale of 1-10.

I feel the fairest verdict would be to disqualify Nasty, and eliminate Terrorist, allow Curse to proceed and then I can win that triple crown that eluded me at brexit by borrowing Commodo, Dreamwin and Racka or anyone else I feel like. I would agree that it's shitty to bench Cyclone if he was actually a new player and not someone who's played for 20 years and proven how detrimental he is.

The rules do, however, go to painstaking lengths to say that you cannot borrow a player if they are rated a 7* in any ship. They also say an illegal line up = forfeit. Thank you to skyforger for being one of the few objective voices in this thread.

Racka did this in four games, and he won two of them. That's two forfeits. Plain and simple.

It now transpires that he had ROSTERED PLAYERS that were in the arena and willing to play. Sad!

Discussions about how effective Destruct were are moot. What is "reasonable" is completely arbitrary. What impact he had is pure conjecture. Rules are rules. They could've played Cyclone, or played 7v8, or tried harder to find a 6*.

Discussions about what the rules should be, after the fact, are also moot. Personally I think the rules are pretty reasonable and easy to follow. They allow squads to avoid no shows without making TWDT into some farcical, glorified javduel.

It's not just that Nasty benefited, but that any other teams - my team - that followed the rules, were disadvantaged. That's why rules exist and should be enforced.
