Great season Ekko, you really did outperform your star rating and some higher-rated terrs. For what it's worth, everyone on Power was disappointed that Willby didn't show either.

Also, just because I want you to sleep well, you can turn on x radar to avoid double warping. The effect on recharge rate is nominal.

I'm terribly sorry for not showing, told it ahead though to Saiyan, nothing I could do, was called for sudden work trip, where I had to be early monday morning, so only way to make it was Sunday evening flight . As most of people know, I am 99% of times very reliable in showing for games and this was totally unexpected thing (but well Ukraine war was something I could not predict, neither the consequences different business have to face now).
I also have to say I really enjoyed playing for the team, great players all around and I truly believe we would have won it with everyone showing, but i guess that is draft league, sht can happen at times.

It's all good Lee, I understand things come up sometimes & I know you & Willby are very reliable in general and I loved playing with you guys. The intention of my post wasn't to warn other captains not to draft you guys in future seasons. I just didn't hear the commentators mention we were missing 2 of our starters so I wanted to let it be known in the history books of this trench world that we got stomped because of attendance issues not because our team wasn't strong enough to compete.

All terrs in 2022 & this tournament are good in their own way whether it be mechanically, high IQ plays, skilled bursts/TeK capabilities, survivability, positioning & drop locations, cram breaking etc, but each one also has obvious and exploitable weaknesses if you play against them/watch them play. I was just feeling really frustrated that night so I decided to talk smack & vent on the forums..

TWDTB FINALS HYPE!

Power is a very strong and deserving team, as is Terrorist. In this match we've got the top 2 ranked terrs in the tournament, and some of the best spiders/sharks in the zone. Both teams are supported by underrated/up and coming lower star spiders, & balanced shark pairs led by a more experienced sr shark daddys (zidane vs joe).

With no obvious weaknesses on either team has this is going to a great finals to watch. My money is on terrorist winning it all but I think it will be a 3 rounder.

i don't agree.

i honestly thought we had very good chances to win TWDT-D and loved our team, and losing like that is fucking tragic, but eats are an unfortunate part of the game and not appealable. it missed on my screen (i have 30ms 00 00), and it obviously missed on Racka's screen.

if you play enough, this type of stuff evens out. that's what people like Ekko don't understand.

he thinks Phoenix missing Willby is some grave injustice and he had the best team (he didn't, PHX was like the 3rd best team, but let's pretend he did). i had the best team 2019 on Gryffindor and we lost semis to a team we 15-1'd regular season because Davy and Paradise didn't show. lost TWLB finals 2014 by 5 seconds with Mattey not showing. Lost TWLB 2016 finals by 15 seconds without M_M God.

Eats, jupes, lagouts, and no shows suck. But over a large enough sample size you'll win as much as you lose to them.

I have 30 MS and it was an eat on my screen, that means nothing. Majority of people saw an eat, which is obvious by the reactions.

eats are obviously not appeable which is why it wasn't even considered but there's no 'evening out' a 49-49 loss in round 3 to an eat. having said that, it's hard to complain about an eat after I died out to a pathetic shot that made this result even possible. The ZU should be annoyed because he made a hell of a play but got robbed by the server being dogshit. No fault on Racka, he played amazingly and doesn't particularly lag ever.

I'm the self-appointed authority on lag and I declare that kill bullshit - and it's actually quite an easy fix to just lock the arena, stick the two players in, and see who gets a legit kill first. Bit late now though.

With that said, Ekko... I know the emotions are strong after a loss but relax lol. Your rating is pretty close to your skill level at the moment. I've been there in 2010, thinking I would be the king of the world in terr if I had better team. You can easily get delusional and develop strong self-bias in terr but I dont believe you fully understand what it takes to be a great terrier.

Its more like you would have had a fighting chance with full line instead of close to 0 chance with the other. That is what creates these strong emotions after a long season, at least I think so. I have missed multiple finals, my teammates have missed multiple finals and my opponents have missed multiples finals. Like Ogron says, it pretty much evens out in the long run.

PS. Thanks for the recorders and special thanks to commentary crew. You make the experience so much better. Perhaps, I could you jump in to the commentary booth sometime as well, if allowed D:
