      United pressure
"I know that 1-0 is enough for them, but I don't think they will play for that with their power and their philosophy," the Porto coach continued. "They will be looking to beat us, and score goals. But I promise - regardless of the result - to give a wonderful match and I won't change my mind It's the same team and we come to play

Looks like Porto will not bow down to the impressive home-record of manutd. Waited all winter for the CL and now it starts again, exciting

            What the fuck?

Good game ref, you biased fuck. Should have been 2-0 for a start, the goal being disallowed being 1/2 a yard onside. Not to mention the amount of free kicks awarded to Porto, for what I saw as hardly any reason at all. Shouldn't have even been a free kick when the winning goal was scored.

            Sigh.

Exactly. Why exactly was that guy awarded the free kick?

Maybe you guys should start whining about how sucky Man Utd played instead of blaming the ref and the ""diving"" of Porto players. Anyone could see how Porto was dominating the play in both matches, and Man Utd only had chances on break aways and set plays. The late goal Porto scored was similiar to the goal Man Utd scored in Porto. So I'd like to end with a quote from Benni "that guy who scored 2 amazing goals and took that late freekick" McCarthy: what goes around comes around.

                  Good season Man Utd!

what a bunch of garbage. i could give a crap if man u had chances. they scored on one of those chances you mentioned and had the goal disallowed. a season should never end on a bad call by a ref.

The freekick that was given to them which they scored should have never been given.

Scholes' second goal was onside, infact 3 defenders played him onside by a yard.

Nothing happened about when Ronaldo got fouled on, infact didn't Porto get the free kick from that?

Djemba-Djemba got a suspected broken rib from getting elbowed in the ribs.

Scholes got booked for sliding in ONE FOOTED, winning the ball.

The referee was appauling, so was that linesman.

                        Deportivo 1-0 Juventus

                        Porto 2-1 Man. United
                        Real Sociedad 0-1 Lyon

                        9-3-2004
Juventus 0-2 Deportivo juve is a bit washed up and not really what it used to be, Deportivo will take the win, not gonna be a really exciting match IMO
Chelsea 2-1 Stuttgart Chelsea should be able to bring this to a good end, could be a good match
Man. United 1-0 Porto Man, didnt play to well against porto last match, and I dont think they will do to good this time, but will pull out a win, Me thinks v. Nistelrooij could play an important role this match, Man United will go through because of the goal scored in porto.
Lyon 3-1 Real Sociedad Cant say I know alot about these teams, it could be a very good match to see, but I think Lyon will take the win

                        10-3-2004
Monaco 3-2 Lokotiv Moskva Should be a very good match, these teams are about evenly skilled I think Monaco will take the win in this match, but lokotiv will go through
Arsenal 3-1 Celta Arsenal will take the win at home, henry will once again play an important role in this win, And I think Pires will maybe score a goal.
Real Madrid 3-2 Bayern I think it will be a good match, but bayern will not take the win, although they do deserve the win. Real will eventually luck out and score more
Milan 1-0 Sparta I think this will be a pretty boring match, and will result in a 1-0 for Milan

I donno if they are gonna draw straws for the quater finals, or that it is already set wich team plays wich, depending on the results. But I think Arsenal might get far this year, They are having a very good year, and certainly in europe compared to last years. The other finalist will be between Real and Milan, real has the skill Milan has the teamwork. Both teams have the luck working for them too. This depends on wich team plays wich in the following 2 rounds tho, Man United isnt doing that well this season and will go down in the semifinals.

NOTE: These are just my opinions, and they probably will be totally and utterly wrong.

                        Chelsea 0-0 Stuttgart
                        Juventus 0-1 Deportivo
                        Lyon 1-0 Real Sociedad
                        Man. United 1-1 Porto

                        Wednesday 10th
                        Arsenal 2-0 Celta
                        Milan 4-1 Sparta
                        Monaco 1-0 Lokomotiv Moskva
                        Real Madrid 1-0 Bayern

Not to shabby , So close with the man U match. I was right with Milan vs Sparta being a boring match tho . I kinda predicted Real right, 1 goal difference. The scoring was just so bad these days.

And to Ze"Bergkamp's washed up"us!!, First Arsenal goal, Bergkamp Owned kggtnx, Second Goal, Bergkamp owned. K gg tnx. The whole time Bergkamp played he owned. K gg tnx. And dimboy really. Thinking like a snail? what kind of Anti-football guy are you.

I wouldn't mind if you had of analysed the teams not just pulled the results out of thin air based on reputation. Hell you even predicted who would score, there is no way you can tell who will score without complete guess work!

I can't add much more to this thread that hasn't been said on the proper websites as I haven't seen any of the footage

I didnt base anything on reputation, but how they are doing this season.
Second, I only predicted Henry and Pires would score, henry did Pires was really close.
