The coolest RPG ever

Well you gain experience, level up, walk around towns, talk to NPC's, buy new weapons and armor, buy potions/herbs, etc. It's an RPG with a strategic battle system.

If that was the case, Diablo 1/2 would be RPGs. And they aren't.

I played almost every RPG there is. Except for a few on the PS and a few on the PC.
Most of them are good, then again I just like playing RPG's.

Nobody even mentioned Dragon Quest series =P

Oh, and as for the confusion over the Seiken Densetsu / Mana series, this is how it goes:

SD 1 = Final Fantasy Adventure on Gameboy (Recently updated and re-released as Sword of Mana on GBA)

SD 2 = Secret of Mana for the SNES.

SD 3 = "Secret of Mana 2". The name is unofficial as it was never released in outside of Japan, but if it were, that may have been its name, but judging by how the other English titles are named, I think it wouldn't even have been called SoM 2. Technically, there is no "Secret of Mana 2", just Seiken Densetsu 3. This was released on the Super Famicom (Japan's name for the SNES.)

SD 4 = Legend of Mana, released for the Playstation, was a bit of a departure for the series with its world building system which was later reused by SquareEnix for Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.


Adding to the confusion is Secret of Evermore, which had similar gameplay mechanics but is not a true part of the series.

Baldur's Gate II + ToB
Final Fantasy 8
Final Fantasy 10

I should get a life

how could you play 200+ hours of ff8? all final fantasys on ps1 should be easily beaten within 100 hours. except maybe 7 if you wanna make your guys uber insano.

phantasy star 1 was supa.



ultima exodus on the old apple computer was much deeper than the nes version.

hmmm.....might and magic "clouds of xeen" was fun.

wizardry 1-3 were also crazy ass games on the old computer systems.
