On the subject of 'trendy indie bands', I've just got back from the Snow Patrol gig. Only 200 people, really intimate, fucking brilliant. I was chatting to the support act after the show (he managed to flog me a vinyl of his single... who do I know with a record player), he's been touring with the guys for 3 months or so and said they're really cool guys. The singer was a laugh, he gave as good as he got from the audience. Really good gig

shreveport is close enought to Dallas, Texas that dallas steals our shows, but its far enough away so that kids like me who dont drive rarely get to travel to dallas to see a show

I'm pretty hot on their new disc "Final Straw." The songs 'How to be Dead' and 'Run' are both catchy as fuck, and the rest of the album is pretty solid. Sort of jealous of your evening... sounded nice.

Yeah they played 'How To Be Dead' live for the first ever time last night as the audience kept shouting for it, it was a pretty good rendition. The audience never got going until the last song, what you expect from an indie crowd - a load of nodding dogs. Does that make me a bona fide punk rocker?
