  • Quentin has done it yet again?

Now if your American you probaly know the director Quentin Tarintino(see that picture by my name ) If you haven't you must be pretty well have the worst choice in movies. Quentin is coming out with his 2nd movie to his finisher to Kill Bill. Kill Bill Volume 2 is coming out Friday April 16,2004. I must say if you are into action movies you'll be hooked to Quentin's work. He is my favorite action director and I am not really into action movies. I am more of a action/drama (ex The Godfather). I got a special screening of the movie in Philadelphia. I overall say its probaly his best work yet to come. If you enjoyed the first Kill Bill you'll love volume 2.

If you really enjoy the movie I might also recommend a few of my favorites of his and other Quentin wannabes (Sundance Festival Films)
    Jackie Brown
Pulp Fiction (Quentins Academy Award Winner)
    Kill Bill
    Reservoir Dogs
    Blue Prison(Ed Bunker-Reservoir Dogs)
Wrinkled Peace (Tim Roth-Reservoir Dogs,Pulp Fiction etc.)

Hmm btw these movies arent real "dating" movies for you teenagers out there. Just let your girlfriend choose the chick flick.

What happens if you liked Pulp Fiction, Resivoir Dogs, Jackie Brown, 4 Rooms, but then you hated Kill Bill with a freaking passion?

Cause I do. Yes.. the idea of satirizing and updating and kinda poking fun at 50's pulp novels and other such junk was amusing.. it was newish.. kinda hip. He had some well made films, but seriously, he needs to find a new angle, because it's simply played out. I thought Kill Bill 1 was pretty much a gun in the mouth of movie entertainment. I was incredibly bored throughout the entire picture, and I can't imagine him doing any better with volume 2, of the crap fest. If it didn't have Tarentino's name attached to it: that movie would have been ripped to shreds.

Volume two is supposed to be more character-focussed. There's more of the traditional patter between characters that made his films work. As violent as Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction were, people loved the discussions about cheeseburgers in France and why Mr Pink doesn't tip. Tarantino's like Seinfeld in that aspect. The only line that stood out for me in was "wiggle your big toe", and that was spoken in monologue instead of the classic Tarantino patter. I read in an interview that there's more of that in Vol 2, such as one part where Bill talks about the difference between Spiderman and Superman.

Tarantino = my favorite director by far. I mean the music in his movies is by far the best ever (not counting once upon a time in the west by sergio leone). The angles from which he shows the happenings, the way he tells the whole story, I mean omg.

Just as long as you have seen enough movies from 70-90 you should be able to understand the irony and satir in kill bill as well.

Maybe I'm expecting too much from vol 2, hope not.

i had mixed feelings about kill bill vol 1. i've loved just about all of tarantino's work up until KB, but kb was just disappointing because of the hype. 4 year break, mega hype, and it just didn't live up to it for me. some parts were great and others were just kind of "meh". from a visual standpoint, it was awesome. from a dialogue standpoint, i was bummed. tartantino's strongest asset (imo) is when his characters go off on some wild rant about something. but when lucy liu's character goes into that meeting and goes berzerker and gives that big speech, i was disappointed. i thought the speech was just not very moving, nor was i very impressed with the dialogue from the knife fight with vivica fox.

i'm still probably going to see it at a the theater, but at a matinee, and with much lower expectations than i had for the first one.

PS: why is uma thurman the main character? she's so ugly she makes blind kids cry.

Lemme hear you say "royal with cheese" right (Pulp fiction soundtrack rocks)? Agreed, the dialogue in Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction were a lot better. Kill Bill vol 2 soundtrack has some potential clips though

As you should know, tarantino doesn't like to make movies that are like softporn. He makes a woman more than the object of the normal hollywood movies (good example pulp fiction, aagin ).

If you think Uma Thurman is ugly, your standards are too high. Unless you're Mark Walberg slumming in a spaceship game you wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell of making it with her.

haha, true. but i never said i was a mark walberg clone. and just cuz i have no chance to score with uma doesn't mean i am obligated to be attracted to her either but i'm not the one being paraded around in skintight leather onscreen as the latest action superhero, either.

but yea, i think jeansi is right on the money about tarantino being more geared toward women with an unusual look. i guess the idea is to challenge people's rigid stereotypes of beauty.

                          uma thurman is ugly.

i loved kill bill, mostly because i hadn't payed attention to tarantino's work prior to seeing it. Thus it led me to do so - and he became a newfound idol for me.

Hmm probaly i like Quentin's films the best just because he always adds actors from his other movies. I mean other directors do that, but I just think he is a lot cooler because of all his actors are pretty much the ones I like. Even though I personally thought John Travolta should of been played by the original choice of Quentin, Micheal Madsen in Pulp Fiction.

P.S. Uma Thurman is indeed sexy even though shes up in the age now, but look at Jackie Chan hes 50 now and he still can pull of some crazy shit. Even though Strength and hotness are 2 complety different characteristics she's still got it!
