  • Blacks and Heavy Metal

Are there any Heavy Metal or Hard Rock groups that contain all or predominatly Black musicians because i cant seem to find any, the only one i came across was ICE-T's body count, i suppose living color also fits the category too.

    Hirax - black singer
God Forbid - 4 black members
    King's X - black singer/bassist
Suicidal Tendencies - some of their stuff is more punk - 1 - 2 black members
    Suffocation - 2 black members

That's all I got for now.

      Why do you care?
My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

i thought fishbone and bad brains were more ska-punk-funk oriented harcore. at least they were in the 90's.

Yea, if you go by those sub-genre descriptions. At some points it gets a little silly so I just call it "metal".

"Oh wow man, you've gotta check out this new power-metal band."
"Noob, that isn't power metal. It's doomcore with elements of goth, technical, jazz and Pip farting on a snare drum."

Common now. Did you know there is a "genre" now called Nintendocore?

I think the many sub genres are a result of fans unwilling to admit they listen to the same genre of music that a band they hate plays.

They also make us feel as if the music doesn't all sound the same.
