The book is definetely worth picking up as well. You get more information on smaller battles and events that weren't in the TV series. There is also a 5-6 page photo album with pictures of some of the men (if you get a chance, you'll notice that Colonel Sink from the series looks like the real one, the real Sobel looks a lot like David Schwimmer, etc.). Plus, it tells you what happened to some of the men after the war

'The ginger guy' is Simon Pegg who is an absolute legend. I've got both series of Spaced on DVD (I promise to buy the Mr Show DVD if the people on Pallies who are peddling the Mr Show DVD's buy Spaced, I've got a webcam to prove the deal - its that fucking good!). He did a stint on Xfm which is the countries' biggest/only rock/indie/alternative station and it was fucking hilarious. He just released his film, Shaun of the Dead, over here which he has been plugging furiously over recent months and its been a massive hit so look out for it when it hits the states. If anyone says anything bad against them I will punch them in the tits.

I own the DVD and it's great. But if you want to know more about Easy company of the 101st, 506 PIR Buy the book, which it's based off, By Stephen E. Ambrose. It details everything they did, and the series stuck pretty close to the book too.

Also the book doesn't, at least imo, make the americans too much of heroes, it's more realistic in a way. BoB became really american patriotic ni a few episodes and forgot about how it really went.

Not as bad as in Shaving Ryans Private though
zeus should d/l that movie. I bet he likes it.

it's a great show- i saw them all and caught about half of them again on the history channel replay- i love the one where winters comes over the hill onto the german army and the 6 and 7th ones in Bastoigne with the doctor are amazing.
