You're missing the point. Thousands of people with careers eat fast food for lunch on a daily basis to save time, then wonder why they have health problems later on in life. The movie encompasses a lot more than "I'm going to eat McDonald's for a month and get fat to show that the food is unhealthy". Like I said before, that's just the premise for the social commentary he delivers.

You're right, I am missing the point. Why do people in America feel that being fat is bad? I mean, you go to somewhere like Algeria and you're as big as a cow they'll be like "DAAMMMMN, How'd you get so fat?" Seriously, people need to take some responsibilty and realize that if they eat fast food everyday they will get fat. Simple as that.

It's not just that it makes you fat, it's that it causes massive amounts of health problems in addition to that. It's irresponsible to put food like that on the market, in my opinion. Granted, I still eat it, but there is also no other convenient, cheap alternative to it. McDonald's claims their food is a lot healthier than it is, and he's calling them out on it.

if you're working more than 40 hours per week, there's little time for home-cooking... especially on your lunch hour. it's a shame that there aren't more healthier options to fast-food available to the working crowd.

it seems like the full-time workers understand the jist of this movie, whereas the still-in-high-school crowd doesn't.

yes, but dogshit isn't being mass marketed to you saying "dogshit: i'm lovin it!" complete with blurbs of happy and healthy people doing fun and cool activities, while they take bites of perfectly formed dogshit, nor is dogshit marketed to kids with toys from the latest movies, and dogshit peddling clowns from a magical town full of cartoon characters.

the government is supposed to regulate harmful products. cigarettes and alcohol advertisement have pretty tight controls over them, when another dangerous product like fast food is promoted so intensely, it's become it's own culture---it just screams of inconsistency and irresponsibility.

i hate this "sue crazy" culture we live in, because it teaches people not to be accountable. i'm very much for accountability, but accountability is a two way street. people should be accountable for their eating habits, and companies that put out unhealthy, yet cheap and tasty food should also be held accountable as to what their product really is.

Yea, I wanna see it too but there's too many other good movies that I'd rather go to. I'll wait until it comes out on TV - if it doesn't then oh well.

And I think Atkin's is totally stupid in my opinion. But I guess my opinion doesn't count for much, seeing as how my diet includes a bowl of cereal for lunch, and a granola bar for dinner. But when I have soccer games I eat an energy bar too so I don't pass out. Yep, that's all I eat, and I still don't lose weight. Baby got back.
