Sadly, even, a post calling for people to "[t]ake some time out and reflect on what has occurred, pray for the families and friends of those who were lost . . . be thankful for your own life and appreciate the people around you, friends and families," has (predictably, perhaps) quickly degenerated into racial slurs; unsupported, uninformative, nearly content-free statements of opinion masquerading as fact; and a few mildly entertaining witticisms.

But, when in Rome . . .

Bilbo, please pray tell explain why you say that "the bloody americans had it coming?"

If you mean to say that because our nation is great and powerful other nations envy our wealth, our high standard of living, and our global influence and military might, you might have a point. (As a side note, the phrase "had it coming to them" is synonymous with "deserved it," in this context. Nice attempt at backpedaling from a stupid statement. But I digress . . .) Please take the time to specify just what actions by the USA (strive for relevance, and relate relatively recent events, please; it makes reading so much more fun) are bad enough in your view that over two thousand wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, singles, young people, old people, etc. "had it coming," "IT" being horrible pain and death in a hell of smoke and fire.

(When you're considering this, please also consider that for each person that died you have at least an average of ten other people who dealt with varying degrees of loss and horror.)

It's also worth noting that a fair amount of Middle Eastern motivations against the United States, at least at the civilian level, results from (a) belief in misleading propaganda from the government and the religious sects; and (b) the religious equivalent of nationalism (would we call that "religionism?"), e.g., "those horrible Christian infidels are gonna pay."

You might in the future include a statement of your own citizenship / nation of residence when posting -- I was trying to take the high road here, but I just can't -- some inane, stupid-ass garbage like that which you posted earlier on this thread, so we can read your uninformed, colloquial, little-brained, brain-damaged monkey views in context.
