People in the US can be so screwed up, and we have companies to thank for it, especially with their advertising over the past 70 or 80 years, in America. Somewhere along the line.. doing the right thing, or thinking the right thing just for the sake of being right, lost its appeal, and instead Americans took on this herd mentality. Suddenly the kind of peanut butter you bought for your kid's sandwich was determined by how much you loved them. If you buy the wrong scent of deodorant, your husband will not get promoted at work, and it'll be all your fault. You use the wrong toothpaste, everyone knows it, your neighbors talk about what horrible people you are, and laugh at you behind your back. Too many people don't even analyze shit properly anymore.. they just look for signs of being outwardly non-offensive and move on. That's why having a president like George Bush is so mothhherrr fuckinnng dangerous. If the herd says it's what we need to do, then what could possibly be wrong with it?

To be honest I don't think it would be very easy to find a president who is less competent than Bush junior. Kerry seems like a good guy though.
