I don't think this was completely the fault of the ref or Bosvelt or Advocaat, I think the Czechs were just better overall.

I'm not sure about the rules in international football but if it's the same as I know the referee can call a "late off'side" if a person (in offside) who at first does not seem to be participating in the game (Nistelrooy) later suddenly takes advantage of the situation. The ref could have then AFTER the goal had been done say that it's not a goal on the basis that he called a late offside.

If a ref fucks up in TWL, the game gets replayed. If a ref fucks up in the EC, he gets the chance to make a joke out of another match and effectively removing an entire COUNTRY from the championship.

Not just that Myth, but despite the effort of TW to be fair, and replay the match, people scream like the ref just murdered their babies. Someone ought to suggest to Push the idea of Technical Fouls in TWL especially, treating a ref like that should get a person forcibly benched for the next game in their season. And by the way, I don't know anything about soccer, so since I have friends in The Netherlands, I'll just say Holland was robbed.
