That second article is 9 months old, enough time for the numbers to have changed significantly (which may be a factor for Bush's current push)

Iraq could get nukes from Russia, since russia needs money bad. So all Iraq has to do is meet the price of the russians and they would probably get nukes.

Saddam doesn't even have that much money anymore. All the local Princes and Chieftains that used to contribute to Anti-American causes have become much more wary with donations now because they are constantly watched. Not to mention that most of Saddam's money is in foreign banks, which means the countries can simply freeze his accounts.

only read part of the second article, but i just wanted you guys to think about something as you discuss this.. president bush is like america's dad in one aspect.. think of it like this.. lets say you we're in charge of billions of people (in a sense) their leader.. and another country (or group of people) from somewhere else attacked your people.. attacked what you are suppose to be protecting.. attacked the innocent people that have no control over what goes on overseas, what the president or other leaders do.. imagine this.. your son or daughter not knowing that you upset a group of co-workers in another state, and then them murdering your only son or daughter.. and you knowing damn well you we're responsible because you upset them.. now.. would you sit around and do nothing? or would you fight back! anser me that.

would you sit around and watch your daughter or son be murdered and not do anything? or a family, friend, loved one, girlfriend, boyfriend...

                Innocent Little Japan

May not have happened all at once, but 3 months time is still a pretty impressive run for attempted genocide (I'm referring to Nanjing). Point being, it's a twisted fucking world out there kids, try and make it better by not being such a shithead.
Ünited Stätes Toughens Image With Umlauts WASHINGTON, DC—In a move designed to make the United States seem more "bad-assed and scary in a quasi-heavy-metal manner," Congress passed a bill Monday changing the nation's name to the Ünited Stätes of Ämerica. "Much like Mötley Crüe and Motörhead, the Ünited Stätes is not to be messed with," said Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK). An upcoming redesign of the Ämerican flag will feature the new name in burnished silver wrought in a jagged, gothic font and bolted to a black background. A new national anthem is also in the works, to be written by composer Glenn Danzig and tentatively titled "Howl Of The She-Demon."

On September 11, 1973 in Santiago, Chile:
With the help of the American military, in an attempt to oust a democratic (but what was thought to be turning socialist) government, 30,000 people were massacred in the streets. Many of them taken to a football (soccer) stadium and executed in masses. Why was this left out of our text books? Why is the American population the least educated on it's own foreign affairs? Why did we support Pol Pot in Cambodia? Why did we execute the beloved leader of Haiti, causing a prospering nation to fall into rapid decline? Why do we still continue to have embargos on Iraq that prevent needed medicine and food from entering the country, causing hundreds of thousands of death each year? And why does everyone get upset when people get mad at the US?

Our nation is a great nation, and I am really proud to be an American, but somethings are just completly unacceptible. We really need to restructure our foreign policy.

Aaah I noticed an article in "Metro" about Chile commemerating (sp?) their own Sep 11th tragedy. Thanks Ennui, was wondering what it was about.

A lot of "great" countries have a lot of things they'd sweep under the historical carpet if they could. I know us British are guilty as much as anyone else.

Russian yard sale. Free nukes to good home.

I'm going to conveniently avoid all of the US Foreign Policy and Sept. 11th shit for the time being, but I'd like to clear up the "Russian nuke" thing for reference.

Nobody is worried that Russian authorities are going to sell their nuclear weapons. The concern is that Russian security is extremely low in many of the sites. Several thefts have been attempted in the past, and the UN still hasn't received a full answer on whether or not every single nuclear weapon is present and accounted for in the Russian arsenal. So when people speak of Russian nukes falling into enemy hands, don't confuse that with the Russian government turning tricks on the side for pocket cash.

As you were with the whole mass-death chat.
