I'm motherfucking no-country-me about 340 days a year. Sometimes a pinch of patriotism flares up and I feel drinking on school nights, watch hockey, dance tango and engage in exciting knifefights.

Edit: I now realized I was slightly off-topic. Sorry homies.

England is like Europe but with ugly chicks.

I would say we consider you european because you eat beans on toast, and no one in america would ever do that.

As for me I feel more closely to the other scandinavian countres, sweden, norway and maybe denmark. The rest are europe, fine with me but I don't really think there is any difference between a european country and a for instance asian country.
Canada and the US are totally different things for me though. Geographically close but otherwise way apart.

I personally see Britain as Europe, I'm all for the €uro as well. I'd say yes we are closer to America thanks to Mr. Blair but I think most people would rather be closer to being a big, productive part of Europe though.

being from n.ireland (keep ulster white and protestant!) and living in holland i think i can relate to what ya mean. i think its mainly since your stuck on the island, and share the same language with usa. usa's influence (tv/movie/politics) is big, and obviously ya arent waiting for a french/german spoken tv program (except their "lecture" movies). So basicly your reality is the uk and a bit of usa.

From the holland perspective, the uk is just the uk.. nothing more or less than france/germany/spain. I guess it's harder for you's to grab the car and goto a euro country for a short weekend... it's very posible for us (france, germany, belgium, etc)

                          So yes, the "euro" feeling.

Thats why they invented the Channel Tunnel so we can easily hop across to France and visit places like Belgium, Holland, Spain etc..

so since they invented airplanes so i can goto japan for a quick weekend trip huh?
