Such a tough game to get ahead of when no one is saying shit and no actual chatter is catching on. Easy for scum to hide and nothing for townies to go off of and hard to set scum traps. Oh well.

Honestly, for those of you who have played multiple games with me over the past year or two (and a decade or more earlier, but specifically our more recent ones), you know that one part of how I play this game is literally railroading people as hard as possible and watching at not only how they react, but how everyone else reacts. Paul had me pretty convinced that he might be pro-town, but with his "I'm not changing my vote against myself no matter what" position when I tried to meet him halfway and voted Vehicle (who screamed scum all game, like I said multiple times), it didn't really give me any choice but to switch back to my initial vote against him. I was surprised that he used his vigi shot like that - if it were me I definitely wouldn't have, but everyone plays their own way.

I will say, Vehicle you did scream scum to me a lot of the game and I think it's clear from our interactions, but you played well. Beast, you just didn't do much and this game was way too easy to hide in.

Nice work Backwards, played well as Doc.

TY for hosting Willby. Hopefully we can get another going and maybe get these more active... but I'm not super confident about that prospect after this one and the last one.

I think you probably would have if you were in my shoes. If backwards didn't block the kill and mafia as successful, we would have been a day phase mislynch away from a loss. It was basically use it or lose it at that point. Plus like you said with the (lack of) activity in general, I figured I might as well take the shot. I didn't feel great about it, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat honestly.

At its most basic it's everyone versus a secret cabal. During the day everyone votes to kill one person, hoping to kill a cabal (mafia) member. At night, the mafia get to kill someone. The mafia wants to kill the whole town to win, the town wants to kill the whole mafia to win.

Then there are power roles that can be on either side, of which there are many but common ones are like:
Doctor: Protects one person from death at night
Roleblocker: Blocks someone from performing their role
Cop/Detective: Investigates people and finds out if their guilty or innocent

Then there's really weird ones like bus driver, which I don't even remember what it does. But with that basic information you could sign up.

Whoever is running the game can and will answer any questions you have too I'm sure... the only thing required of you is to log in and post something that is coherent and game related on maybe a daily interval... the rest you can learn as you go
