Mark was never very open about his background. Rumors flew around- some say he ran away from home at age 12 to work in the circus as an acrobat, but was fired years later for messing around with the ringmaster's daughter; others, that he ran gun for a resistance group, but he wouldnt say which. Apparently, they didnt win. Before the cruise line, he was a compulsive gambler, and was banned from Las Vegas and Monte Carlo. All we really know is that he spent a few years in a French Prison, but no one knows what for, as he changes his story every time.

This was his opportunity to get straight. But old sins followed him to sea, evidently. His body was found riddled with bullets behind the bar. Glass from broken cups and shattered bottles littered the scene.

Don't feel too bad, oil and gas is a clusterfuck. Layoffs, dead times etc, when it's good its reaaaaaly good but as you can imagine right now is scary. Always have to have a year of bills saved up basically. Lots of coworkers go out and buy 500k houses and 80k trucks and lose it all.

Look on the bright side, we can go back to the gold standard after we start asteroid mining until then we can just wait for hyperinflation once the dollar loses its reserve status because of oil prices. Fiat money is great though!
