btw I use 1 day lenses. Use one day, throw away and take new ones. Should probably move over to 1 month-thingies, dunno if they are more uncomfortable though.

They are really freaky and fun
      Lizard-ish eyes
Totally white eyes (nobody can see where you are watching)
all black (heard some dude got arrested when wearing these cus the cops thought he was on drugs)

white is the coolest, couldn't fina a pick of them applied though

you can even get them with your favorite sports teams' logo
What's so hard with having normal contacts? A kid at my school has those cat things, they cost him a butt load of money and he looks like an idiot with them on. Freaking furries.
My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

        You guys are all nutes...

first.. laser eye surgery doesn't really mean that you won't need any glasses anymore. Usually you'll at least still need reading glasses.

second.. just get disposable contact lenses.. WAY easier.. wear them for awhile then throw them away. you can get a 6 month supply at costco for super cheap.

third, if contacts are bothering your eyes, it's either because you're wearing them too long or you're not cleaning them properly (if you're not smart enough to get disposables). or they don't fit you right, and you need a new pair

also.. golden sun.. your friends eyes will never get better.. that just doesn't happen.. everyones eyes get worse as they age.

yeah bz, i was going to get them from costco. 6 or 12 month supply (i thought it was 12, but it might very well be 6) you throw em out every 2 weeks

colored contacts dont really interest me cause i've grown quite attached to my dark hazel eyes
can we please have a moment for silence for those who died from black on black violence

Is anyone even manufactering hard contact lenses anymore??? I'm pretty sure those things went out with goatees!!! My Dad used to wear hard lenses way back when to play hockey and he said they usually pop right out!!!

So under normal circumstances your doctor wouldn't even prescribe hard contacts to you unless you've living in Liberia or something.

What I recommend is two week disposables... they aren't as good as two year ones but if you lose them swimming it's no big deal, you know? If you wear them for more than eight hours a day you should ask your doctor for the highest water percentage lenses available. Don't be fooled by intelligent marketing that promotes "no rub" saline solutions. You have to clean your contact lenses to remove scratchy protein build-up. For cleaning contacts, I recommend the AOSEPT system.

Just as a point of interest, - wearing your glasses/contacts diligently makes your eyesight worse as opposed to better. So if you can function safely without your glasses it'd be a good idea not to wear them unless you absolutely must.

I'm pretty sure that's not true, I don't think it affects it either way.. I'll find out later.

                  Um, okay....

Ever notice how your natural eyesight is looking even worse after removing your glasses/contacts at the end of the day after six months? Six years? Perhaps it's just damage from the contacts. Either way, there is definately some reason why my eye doctor told me not to wear my lenses unless it's absolutely necessary. Your eyes gradually and perpetually adjust to your lenses, inadvertently altering the naturally occuring relaxed focus of your eyes until eventually you're doomed to get lost in the never-ending cycle of confusing and manipulating your natural eyesight to the point of being terribly dependant on your lenses. This is why I'm just saying,- if you can get by some of the time without your perscription, you might want to consider doing so.

I didn't mean you should get them for daily use. For daily use either normal contacts or slightly colored acuvie-ish things.

Those wacky ones are so cool for parties though.

If you have glasses as a kid there is the chance that your eyes do get better during the teen years (when you grow the most), but for most people it's only downhill. My friend for one had a bad sight when he was around 7-13 but then it got better and now he has perfect sight both far and close.

Don't think so but my mom used them when she was young. still had the stick you used to take em out with left. One that looks like those things plumbers use but a lot smaller

by the way you get a terrible headache if you really need glasses but don't have them. not worth it. And it hurts your eyes even more.

I think so ... but those are temporary correction lenses, you are not suppose to wear them permenantly.

It is ture, and it is one of the main reasons why I am not wearing glasses/contacts. One of my eyes is short sighted, the other is not. It has been like this for almost 8 years.

This is just plain wrong. wearing glasses or contacts does nothing to affect your permanent vision.
