i needed an example of hypocrisy.

C 1:Evasive> 7:adman> someone who says fur is murder
C 1:Evasive> 7:adman> adn then eats meat

was one of them.

annux says its not hypocrisy.

the assignment is over, but it brings up an interesting point

this is a thread for discussing the hypocrisy of protesting fur because it is murder and then eating meat, though

the previous statement is talking about skinning animals for their fur, not about eating the meat of the animal. You could technically be against wearing animal fur and then eating the meat to sustain yourself.

Saying Meat is murder and then eating meat is a better example, but I see where it's coming from.

I think that in order for that to be hypocritical that the person would need to be like an animal rights advocate.

But just because you don't like fur or leather doesnt mean you can't eat meat.

Or vise versa.

oh. well i dont think it is hipocritical. fur is for show. there are things to keep you warm that dont involve killing hundreds of animals. meat is a good source of protien and nutrition though, so eating it is necesary. plus, the animals would eat you if they could its the food chain.

meat is not necessary though, because you can get the protien and nutrition elsewhere.

I disagree with this. The dead guy did something wrong, the fetus didn't. If you only aborted fetuses that murdered people, that'd be different.
