I like how it loads fast though, because I have really slow internet. I wish I could go back to my yahoo name but I don't feel like having to go trough that huge ordeal of changing your email again.
having folders, but you can have the same mail in several folders. I have like
an "attachment" label, a "subspace" label and a "friends" label. So if I get a
file with subspace banners from a friends, I can put it in all of those 3 "folders".
Very good! ^_^Hannibal Lecter: How did you catch me, Will?
Will: You had disadvantages.
Hannibal Lecter: What disadvantages?
WIll: You're insane.

At least they were for a long while. You couldn't even send invites to a hotmail/yahoo address. That isn't a problem with gmail."Sexy" Steve Mijalis-Gilster, IVX

Really just think about what u are saying...are they gonna read every email...no.
Are they gonna read 5% of the emails...no
Why u ask...cos they wudnt have enough time.
They use keywords, to find mail containing the words they look for, but at the same time a regular person can search for an email address or password and it still find it. I read a different story on how you can use Google to get password for anything. When you ask google to search, it cant deny so it finds everything dealing with that subject.
(From www.gmail-is-too-creepy.com) The point is this: Some two-thirds of all Google searches come in from outside the U.S., and Gmail will also have a global reach. We're not dealing with only the FBI (and yes, the same privacy advocates who oppose Gmail are dealing with the FBI), but potentially with hundreds of agencies in dozens of countries. Google has no data retention policies, and never comments on their relationships with governments. The problem must be addressed at the source, which is Google. Elitist digerati do a disservice to the entire world when they assume such narrow points of view.|

No pop-up ads. No untargeted banners.
You see only relevant text ads and links to related web pages of interest.
Www.gmail-is-too-creepy.com shows screenshots of the "relevant" informational ads. Check this out. Nothing relevant about this.
(From www.gmail-is-too-creepy.com--Click on Brandon Mayfield)
Another example is seen in the Google ads at the bottom of this story about Brandon Mayfield. There are two ads. One mentions sexual assault charges (sex has nothing to do with the story), and the other is about anti-terrorism. The entire point of this article, as well as a New York Times piece on May 8, 2004, is that a lawyer has had his career ruined due to overreaction by the FBI, based on disputed evidence.|
