Tobacco is on it's way out in the US. Local gov'ts have been implementing bans in public places (restaurants, etc.) and I believe that will make smoking less popular (if it was in the first place).
Alcohol won't ever be banned imo.
Illegal drugs (crack, pot, etc) have a very difficult process to go through to be legalized, but the quickest way is to demonstrate that the drug can be used for medical purposes.
Prescription drugs are where it's at kiddies. That shit is all balls and no extra ingredients unlike most illegal drugs. You put Oxycontin versus Pot, and oxycontin will fuck you up harder, longer and faster. But of course the difference between oxycontin and pot is that oxycontin is legal, with a prescription of course.
