      Dear Under,

It's nice to see you have thought your response through. It is not a fashion accesory, at least not to me. Two people I know have died of cancer and I wear my band as a sign of awareness, and if we can all raise £5 million to charity as it looks like we will, we can beat this disease before it kills too many more people.

I believe their worth is to cure cancer, at least on the grand scheme of things. So even if celebrities wear them, I still think we should try to cure cancer.

Dear Dimboy (it's vehicle btw, I understand the confusion over whom I may be),

I have thought my response out. Some guy giving out yellow bracelets because he had cancer is totally different from what i'm pointing out. What I am trying to say is that most, maybe not all, but most of these people running around with their yellow arm bands couldn't give 2 shits about cancer. The vast majority of these people are just riding out the trend and being dipshits about it. I'll bet you that at least 1/3 of the people with these bracelets don't even know what they're for.

Edit: the fact that you come on the forums posting about how you wear one just proves my point that it's more of a fashion statement then a fight for a cause.

seriously, why pay 1 dollar for a bracelet that has to cost something to produce and ship etc etc, when you can easily go drop off 5 at any hospital doctor's office change thing.

I agree it's a good cause and stuff, but i don't agree with it beinga fashion trend or whatever.
I think that wearing this bracelet because you donated 1 freaking dollar is pretty self serving to prove you're a good person. You don't need a reward to do a good deed now do you? which is what i think people are doing. Look at me i spent a dollar (or euro) and i got a yellow bracelet, i'm such a good person, i just nod my head without saying anything.

The idea is to actually make people aware of cancer, by the visual prescence of a band etc. Also, if someone else is wearing a band, I'd go and say hi to them and talk to them, like when the christians made little fishes to say they were christian. And I posted it here as a duplicate from another forum I visit, a cycle racing one. Being a cyclist myself all my friends want a band, and are jealous that they haven't got one. That;s why I posted it, perhaps you can't relate to the same sort of humour as I do. And I know who you are, I just felt like calling you Under (random I know.)

you sir, need to tuck your testicles up when you ride your bicycle, you don't want to crush them now do you?

If i wanted to be known for my donatoins to charity, i'd get a recepit and have it blown up and put it in my car window. I'M TOTALLY AWESOME COME TALK TO ME.

I think it's good of people to spread awarness of Cancer and this program. I've asked a person myself what the band on their wrist was, and they told me about this program. Of course, like all things, people might use it to get some sort of attention, but it's intent is for good, and from what I've seen, it's been used with good intentions.
