1 and 2. You should just give up. English is the basterd child of so many languages that it will never be uniform and it will always be crap. Your demand is irrational and has no better support than saying, "My way is best."

3 and others. You are right in the fact that many Americans couldn't care less about other countries. We take what we need from them and don't mind where it came from. However, the fact still remains that we, a large enough percentage of Americans, send billions of dollars to other countries in relief funds and aid.

6. Baseball is a wonderful sport, and we are not the only ones who enjoy it. Baseball is very popular in Japan and the Caribbean. Your beloved Cricket is much like baseball only wearing pads. weanies. Soccer is not nearly as entertaing as football. If the rest of the world could afford pads and equipment, they would play football too. Soccer gained worldwide popularity because all you need to play is a ball, not because it is a better sport.

I saw the coolest thing when I was in England this summer... was taking the bus from Oxford to London, and when we were in London on the highway, we turned off onto another highway and instead of onramps like we have here in Canada, they had a giant highway roundabout skybridge sandwiched inbetween the two roads (with the highway where I came from really highly elevated above everything). It was pretty cool.

But still roundabouts aren't safer at all. At best they are on parity if you have very experienced drivers. What's safer, moving continously, having to fight other traffic in order to get onto another street, or having a 4-way intersection with street lights/stop signs where everyone stops and takes turns?

1/ Type "NOTICE OF REVOCATION OF INDEPENDENCE" into Google and see what pops up. You're right, this should be moved to Recycled Humour, but it's still nothing to be taken seriously.

2/ So if I post the text of The DaVinci Code can I immediately claim the royalties? It's something he found, thought was funny and decided to share.

3/ The timing is important in that if it was written recently there'd be comments about Iraq and Bush's intelligence, and your entire "Tony Blair has cooperated with Bush" argument wouldn't get tossed out the window.

People are not happy with Bush or Blair's leadership and if the thread topic was relivent to why or how Bush was reelection we could disscus and contemplate that issue, personally I'd say fear but that isn't what this is about. Take it as a peice of humor and please learn how to deal with forum topics appropriately, I really would hate to see this turn into another flame thread about the elections.

bubbles19518, you didn't see all three presidential debates did you? (you knew there were three right?) two of which I believe were centered on economics and social issues which if you ask most Americans, are both on the bottom of their lists when you have to deal with terrorism, where you kinda don't get a lot of that... in the middle of no where/Southern arenas of America.
