Here, if you're still undecided or just plain have no clue... here's some things to consider...

      1. Who do you know is playing this?
If you have friends in one game, You should goto that game.

      2. Do I have enough money to send $10 via credit card (or purchase a game card?) to play this?
If you have the money, go for WoW. But, lets say you can't pay that, or don't have a credit card, Guild Wars would be a better buy.

      3. How 'hardcore' are you getting into this?
If this is gonna be your primary geek out title, then WoW would be something to get into. But, if you're just gonna be playing every so often, have other games you'd play too (like SS :P) , Guild Wars would be for you.

      4. Warcraft or Diablo?
Did you dork out on Warcraft or Diablo more? If you're a hardcore Warcraft fan, then the obvious choice would be WoW. If you had like 9 lvl 99 characters on hardcore in Diablo 2 or whatever, then GW would make you feel quite at home. Some people say that Guild Wars is everything Diablo 2 should have been.

      5. Instant Gratification or Traveler?
If you don't like to travel all those miles from town to town on horseback between different missions, etc*. Guild Wars has a mission hub system, kinda like just going from game room to game room in a server. World of Warcraft has the more traditional, Everquest style of moving on foot from town to town, mission to mission.

        From the WoW website:

Will there be a monthly fee to play the game?
Yes. When you purchase World of Warcraft, you will get a one-month free trial subscription to the game. At the end of that month, you will have to choose from three subscription plans to continue playing the game: a month-to-month package at $14.99 per month, a three-month plan at $13.99 per month, or a six-month plan at $12.99 per month.

i'm not payin that for a computer game
Guild Wars i think has the same retail cost as WoW too ($50 US)

heh, it's funny how everyone seems for guildwars but right now the poll is 2-0 in favor of WoW... of course... rodge did just put the poll up...

ok, so here's the earth... it's chillin
damn, that is a sweet earth you might say... WRONG!
ok, ruling out the possibilities of the icecaps melting, a meteor becoming crashed into us, the ozone leaving, and the sun exploding... we are definately going to blow ourselves up.

Yes. Take World of Warcraft and Guild Wars. They both cost $50 retail to begin with. Then, when you pay the monthly fees, WoW is $10 (i believe, might be more) per month, Guild Wars is free per month, no monthly fee. The way they're gonna make money is to have retail expansion packs for more missions, items, characters, enemies, etc*

And yes, you can join Guild Wars. If you pre-order the game right now, you get into the once a month beta testings. No sign ups, no huge lines at Fileplanet. Just pre-order and you're in after you put in your 'cd key' when you begin the game.

And no, probably not my guild :P

<3 the Zon action. But anyways, you'd love Guild Wars, I might be able to hook you up with a free invite to one of the closed betas if my friend doesn't take it already.

I play it just for the cute Gnomes.... though I think in general the quests in Ironforge are relatively boring (so I'm all over the place now).

Yeah I noticed that expansion pack thing, its okey with that I think.

Pre-order, I live in Finland, I guess I can't preorder it. I'lle just try, and what is these once a month bets tests? Does it mean I can play everyday if I pre-order, or just once a month for specified days?
Why not, why can't I join your guild? :'(
