I have a duvet with a thread count of 880. My sheets are only 300 though, I think I'll have to upgrade them to get the same comfy soft feel.

My sheets are somewhere around 450-500. Not bad, but a bed is only as good as the mattress, and mine is shit. Part of that is the size downgrade. Note for others: you can always move up a bedsize, but never down. Go forth with caution in mind.Comment

RogMex: I just got a California Queen-sized bed, and I'm never looking back. The extra inches of length mean I no longer have to either sleep diagonally or with my feet hanging over the footboard. It's decadence to it's highest degree. lol i didnt realize that when i made the title, it was 5 am and i was taking a break from studying. i studied 18 hours in a row, passed out in the floor lounge at 7, woke up at 730, went to bed, set no alarm, and woke up at 1020, 10 minute before the test. it was a miracle.

That was actually a point of contention, pv. My girlfriend's mother runs a furniture store, and was trying to get me to buy a cal king. And by trying, I mean "doing everything short of telling me she'd only sell me a cal king." But unfortunately, with all the computery stuff I have around my house, my bedroom would only comfortably seat a queen's width.
