My dreams usually involve me playing Halo 2. Well, they used to, before it came out. Now I just have freaky black/white dreams that may or may not have something to do with the year of my life that's missing from my memory.

If you want to remember your dreams, set your clock alarm 90 minutes after you fall asleep. REM sleep occurs in 90 minute increments. The best technique to remember dreams is when you wake up in the morning write down everything from the dreams you had that night. Do that everyday and your dream recall abilities will sky rocket.

One way to tell your dreaming is if you look at your watch or a clock the digital numbers will look all fucked up. Everytime you look at your watch irl ask yourself if you're dreaming. Your real life habits are your habits in your dreams as well. They also sell cheat machines, which you put on your eyes or your head, and start giving off a signal when you're in rem sleep. You identify it in your sleep by a bright light or whatever, so you then realize you're dreaming in the middle of your sleep.

I meant that I didn't know there were steps involved. And I did step two. I've been "Lucid Dreaming" and didn't know what it was. I was just doing it.

I've always been a lucid dreamer. I've never had a nightmare once. Whenever I feel like something is about to get scary in a dream, I say out loud dream , " I do not like this" and then I wake up. I try to think about what I want to dream about right before I fall asleep. But, most of the time I get something off the wall or something sort of along the lines of an event that happened to me in the course of my previous day.

I've done that, but it's only like right before I wake up. (Only a couple of times) I just feel like I'm waking up and it feels weird. That's how I know.

What I meant was that when I was "Lucid Dreaming", I knew it was called something, but didn't know what it was. So I did research and found out.

Crazy shit

this thread has kind of put dreaming on my mind for the last few days. before i go to bed i often vow to remember my dreams. i may be getting some results.

last night i had some pretty vivid dreams. as soon as i woke up, i remembered dreaming that i was with 2 of my friends. i dont know how this came up, but one of them said that she was unsure, but she thought the color of amber was greenish silver. i said no, it is golden yellow. then my other friend told me he was sure it was silver and green and yellow... i ended up agreeing with him, and i typed the words "silver green yellow" on a computer. i clearly remember seeing the words "silver green yellow" appear on the screen as i typed them.

then i remembered before that part of the dream. i was drinking in the student neighborhood and getting a buzz on, and then i was walking in one of its streets.. there was a hard wind blowing on me, and i spread my arms and started running and leaped into the air. i started flying around with my arms spread, gliding through the air. it was difficult to stay elevated. i was only able to make it up to about 30 feet.. i saw people on the ground and swooped down to give one of them a high five.

when i woke up, that is what i remembered. i went to chem, i came back here, and i started reading the "let's get philosophical" thread. for some reason, getting philosophical reminded me of smoking pot (which i havent done in real life). then it hit me: there was a part of the dream before the flying, where i had been smoking pot. i remembered that it gave me x-ray vision.

i was suprised to see that i had remembered this much of my dream, so i opened up a notepad document and started writing it all down. suddenly i got to the part at the end where my two friends and i were arguing about the color amber. it became very clear to me that the last thing i remembered in the dream before hearing my alarm clock go off was me agreeing with my friend that amber was a mix of silver, green and yellow, and typing it into a computer and seeing the words "silver green yellow" appear on the screen.

so in my dream i had typed "silver green yellow" .. and then an hour after waking up i ended up doing the same exact thing without even realizing it until it happened.
