I don't know if there is any harm in asking if it's been hacked. It would be good to see an "unhackable" game but it's pretty much impossible for offline games.

When you play HL2, it has to be authed through Steam, so I doubt it's been hacked.

The CD Key that pirates have been using has been removed, and alot of the CD-Keys and etc* that are on various hack sites that have been distributed by Valve. Personally, I wouldn't touch a hacked HL2 with a 10 foot pole.DELETEDComment
