Trivia: Enough is ENOUGH

I like playing trivia, but my biggest problem while playing is how blatantly easy it is for anyone who memorizes half the answers and can type fast can win. I mean, I've won a couple games, and I like winning, but watching someone get 15 points in a row is sick.
PLEASE can we find some way to make trivia a little more typing-friendly? I mean, it gets retarded sitting there trying to get some points and losing so horribly to one person, when basically the whole arena's just sitting there with their thumb up their arses watching this person win.

nah it is well known that generaly trivia is a typing contest. However it is easy to say can't we change it, but harder to come up with a working idea to fix it.

Off hand the only way i could think is to give everyone 20 seconds to type their answer and give points to all who gave the corect answer, at the end of a set number of questions the winner is those with the most points.

This would slow it down, take out the excitement for the typists (not me i been beat by the 15 second time limit) , be horribly abused with ppl "teaming" and pming each other the answers, make it more important to get in at the start, other reasons too probably



I don't even try in trivia anymore as i can't type that fast at all , sometimes i give it a go when its a question not many would know the answer too like a football stadium question. On the whole i think its always the same people now that dominate it but in all fairness they are different to the people a year ago who did then but have probably gotten bored with it.

Hey, I cant say I dont get answers, I do get many, it just really sucks sitting there not getting a single answer. It happens alot, and not just to me, during trivia, regardless of who answered first, there's always someone who isnt fast enough to type the answers.
I've increased my typing speed significantly, but it still cant compete with some people, and all I would really like is a chance to get some of the answers I know.

Hell I don't know the answers but even when I know them someone usually beats me. I hate it when people macro the answers because even if I know it I go to type BOOM the question has been answered in .23 seconds by SuperTrivia Dude. Kind of makes me mad. And so I said FUCK IT

Well ya see, I've started threads in the past and many people have replied with ways to make trivia better. Funny thing was, not a thing was done. So right now Im past suggesting ways to make it better.

Why dont you send in some questions into staff, to improve the diversity of their question base that is.
