funny thing is that the very government that says an embryo is a human and that we shouldnt play god is taking someone's life and placing it on a balance. Horay for america.

that's some sad shit, dude. it's weird how other people's mishaps make you feel better about yourself, though.

first off all death penalty is wrong, and second off all, looked at his age, he would suffer way more from a lifetime in prison then just a simple painless death.. If you wan't to make people pay for something, lock em up for the rest of their lives, they would wish they were dead
Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.

                  uhh no it isn't.
The translation is correct. sorry if you think different.

If someone is sentenced to life they get a free contained life. They don't get to wander the world anymore, but they do get free food, free shelter, free entertainment, free work out equipment, free healthcare, etc. etc. Why is it free? Because I pay for it. I wish we could ship'em away to a random island and they can learn to survive for themselves. Any felony and off you go!

How does the Hebrew translation relate to whether or not the death penalty is ethically sound?

And regarding your comment about "A perfect system no, but what is?", the admission that the justice system is not perfect is the exact reason why it's immoral to have a government sanctioned policy of murder. If the consequences are incorrectable, you'd better be right 100% of the time, or you're no better than the guilty themselves.

                        You are the reason I'm pro-choice pvr=nt.

Do you know how long it takes to kill someone on death row?

                        20+ years.

You will still pay taxes no matter fucking what, so shut the hell up.

Good point. The financial burdeon on the courts, as well as the backlog and inefficiency aspect as well.

not in texas, we kill'em fast here.

the whole thou shalt not kill was brought up by someone saying how do christians say they are pro-life and pro-death penalty. I was merely explaining the wording they had was wrong and therefore changes the whole logic of that argument.

                            pop quiz
                            a. someone lives 40 years in prison
                            b. someone lives 20 years in prison
which choice will I pay more for in taxes and healthcare?

how is giving a guilty person life any different than a death penalty anyway?

                            Life sentence
You have sentenced a person to a building for the remainder of their lives until they die.

                            Death sentence
You have sentenced a person to a building for the remainder of their lives until executed by the state.

I don't understand Dothefandango, you wish I was aborted instead of alive?
is it because I don't share your beliefs? Becuase I have a different opinion?
Is your personal motto-"Everyone should have the freedom to their own opinion as long as it's mine"

I still think banishment would be a very appropiate punishment for felonies and the like.

they konw how, they did an autopsy. The exact who is not known. Although there is a lot of circumstantial evidence that points to him. Either someone did one of the best framings of all time, or he did it.
