Heh, 3 wins in 4 years, each by 3 points right?

    Good job Patriots!

One thing for Eagles fans to think about, most of you could own any Patriots player on Continuum...

Gah, is it just me or did Donovan McNabb look rattled the whole game?

What the fuck. Consider all the risks of rigging a professional sport before you talk, dickweeds. Everyone from fans to sponsors to stockholders would riot. It can't be done.

I don't recall the entire MLB association being in on that, but point taken. Thanks for reminding me.

My point is these people are talking like everyone from Paul Tagliabue all the way down to Paul McCartney conspired and said "Okay, the Eagles can NOT win this game. We've installed a device in every football that will cause Donovan McNabb's passes to go out of control at the press of a button. The control for this device has been given to Coach Belichick. Also, the Eagles' Gatorade has been tainted with high levels of depressants so they play sluggishly. Last but not least, their cleats have been modified so that they will not grip the turf." The Eagles got outplayed, simple as that. I know it's a hard fact to swallow, especially since it was only a 3-point margin of defeat, but shit happens when your team just isn't as good as your opponent.

I didn't see it as the Patriots outplaying the Eagles so much as the Eagles just making more mistakes.

                          Yea, pretty much.

The Pats just have more experience in these situations. Statistically, the Pats didn't dominate the game in really any facet. They had a significantly stronger running game, but the Eagles had a significantly more successful passing game. I consider that pretty much a push. They both turned the bal over, and both were strong defensively. They weren't that far apart, and their similitude is reflected in the score.

However, I agree the Eagles just seemed unprepared toward the end of the game, during "crunch time". I mean, they were down 10, and there was no real sense of offensive focus. Bravo, they scored...but what the fuck does it matter when you've wasted so much time that you can't do anything with the time left over?

At least the Eagles provided an upset to Vegas by seeing that the Pats didn't cover the spread. I would have lost money, because I somewhat underestimated the Philly Defense. I expected at least a 10 pt win from New England, but I also didn't expect Terrell Owens to play.

Which brings me to my last point: Major props to TO. Major, MAJOR props to Terrell Owens for being so passionate about the game to put in so much hard work and rehabilitate himself into being an impact in the game. No TD's, but 9 rec, 122 yds, and a huge bust out of 36 yds! Terrell's main impact is his ability to run after the catch, and even though he could never really get off more than once, nobody except Terrell thought it would happen at all. He is the real deal, and even though they didn't win, he proved that he is one of the players in the league with the most heart.

I thought the half time show was the best I've seen in a while.

I thought the commericals weren't as good as in previous years.

The game? It was ok although not quite as close the the score indicated. Kudos to the Eagles for hanging in there and keeping it close, but it felt more like luck than skill. NE played their typical NE game and owned.
