doesn't sound worth the money quite frankly, especially if it's a monthly dealy.
Thanks
The only TWOTIME TWLJ All-Star and TWLB All-Star who never played a game.

Guild Wars looks like shit and plays like shit compared to WoW, I've played both, and have only been addicted to one... WoW. HOLY FUCK SHADOW SPECCED TROLL PRIEST.
By the way, they set up some new servers for WoW, so if you're thinking of getting it and you end up joining one of them (they'll let you know which ones are new) you won't be awfully far behind (though there's always a lot of people just starting out on even the highest populated servers).
Hour wise, it says I've put over 12 days into this freakin' game... I have a family a job, and TW... you can see how addicting it is, but it's ridiculously fun.
The main reason I find the pay per month worthwhile is that the game is and will continue to be ever-changing. They are constantly working on new systems/quests/zones and other end game material to keep the level 60s occupied (because right now all they're doing is raiding towns, killing each other, picking on the newbies... and trying to take down Onyxia (a huge ass motherfucking dragon)) because right now, especially on the smaller servers, there isn't enough to do, or enough high level people to make a raid with to tackle on the really BIG bosses. They're also working on a system called Battlegrounds, which will have a couple more instances, air fighting, and just generally huge ass battles between factions. Not that there aren't huge ass battles between factions now, but there will actually be objectives, like capture the flag and fun games of that sort.
I really do understand if you don't have the money to pay per month for this game, but believe me, this will pretty much be your entertainment for the duration you pay for it, so if you do have the money, it's going to be money well spent.
I'm not such a hardcore gamer myself, and WoW isn't based around that. Infact, it's based around the average-joe gamer, and you'll notice that in a lot of the details WoW puts into it, and how they seem to be taking their time implimenting patches :P
Gotta agree with Paul, WoW is definately the better game here.
Thrashing> "That'll be 25.99, thank you for buying, please come again"
Thrashing> "LET'S FUCK!"
Thrashing> Like that, Ott?

Missy> o.O im so leaving this chat
Kim> hal, say fit of rage sucks ballz
fit of r> here, i'll do it for you
fit of r> I SUCK BALLS
Kim> loool
fit of r> I LOVE BIG HAIRY MAN BALLS
And you pay the monthly fee to get the better product. A perfect example of "You get what you pay for." If you're the type to get all hardcore into your MMORPGs (like Paul here), then go WoW. But for people like Nickname (who isn't down for the monthly fee), try Guild Wars.
PURE HATRED> i cannot dodge your bombs AND my teammates

I advise to stay away from MMORPGs (haven't played WoW). All they do is addict you to levels obscene enough to make subspace feel like a snack. But if you want to be an IRL zombie go for it man!!!
exactly. WOW and GW may be a lot of fun to play, but it will just addict me. If I don't play it I won't miss it
Itsnt the highest lvl 60 or something?! My friends told me theres no pt after you reached that far... Becomes boring.............. Dunno, I might be wrong. :P
It's heavily quest based, if you don't really like doing quests then i'd steer away from this game. I don't play enough to make it worth while to pay for it but if my brother keeps on buying game cards then I'll keep playing it when I get free time.
it makes me sick when i think of it, all my heroes could not live with it so i hope you rest in peace cause with us you never did
Your friend has to get more involved, if all you do all day is kill monsters, then yes it's going to be boring. Getting to level 60 isn't even half the game, so your friend better start figuring out what he can do.

1) Battlegrounds (it's going to be fucking awesome)
2) Hero classes
3) PvP
4) Better items
Music and medicine, I'm living in a place where they overlap.
GW and WoW, you really can't make a comparison. The games are incredibly disimilar, GW doesn't even really fall in to the MMORPG genera. Sure there's some bullshit about items and quests and crafting blah blah blah, but it's more like, say, diablo with it's levels and exploration areas, then like WoW with it's much more expanisve immersive world.
About the GW screenshots. YES they all look good, but the game itself has rather lackluster character animations and concept design, of course just my opinion, and no one's going to play the game zoomed in that far, so with motion and perspective the graphics get a lot worse.
I like WoW way more than I do GW. I had fun with the arenas in GW during beta, but I prefer the complexity of WoWs PvP, even in it's not fully completed form, over GW's more simplistic PvP. This isn't to say that there's no strategy to GWs team vs team pvp, I just don't like being limited to 8 skills, and I really don't like GW's health/mana system.
