Forget Mavis Beacon or what have you. The best typing tutor out there is 'The Typing Of The Dead'. I'll snail-mail you a copy if you like, or you can get your copy from you know where.

I love that game, lol. Especally when the two protagonists are running around with keyboards around their necks in the cut scenes.

Shit now I have a use for one of the zillion spare keyboards lying around, as someone above said, just pull out the keys and re-arrange 'em.

I tried that. Unless your keys are completely flat, the slopes of keys belonging to different rows won't be the same. =(

Just cut out little squares of paper and use rubber cement or something to stick them on.

It might actually be better to just leave a printout of the layout in front of you, instead of moving your fingers to look at the keys.

no mavis beacon is crap. i tried to actually use it, and got distracted by the infinitesmally boring games.

seriously though, what do you guys mean when you say you'll "switch the keys around". is there some kind of setting you can change to allow different postionof keys?

edit: oh, so there's a setting that lets you change between QWERTY, DVORAK, etc?

They mean physically ripping the plastic keys from the keyboard and moving them around.

yeah, but how will that change the settings? if you put the 'n' in the 'p' slot, it will still type 'p'
