I personally don't like it much better than some of their earlier stuff (from around 1994-1998) but still, a good catchy song.

hogo, listen to their first album (The Blue Album/"Weezer") and Pinkerton, they definitly do NOT suck. They shaped most of pop-rock/emo in the years to come.

Just because you like a band doesn't mean they're pioneers, you just like their songs. Weezer invented fuck all, but they write sporadically good songs (their new song not being one of them)
