Yeah, others do that every day, the pope is one of the only ones who get televised for it though. I wonder if he woke up everyday and put on a cape and said "Lets save the world one third world country at a time."
Sure he made many appearances, but thats all they are to me, he was a media mascot, a sell-out of the house of God. I dont mind a sermon spread to the world by means of the media, but the only thing I ever saw the pope do was wave. He was 84, no one will really carry in a year, or even really remember.
