Pope died of natural causes. He's dead, the joke was made before he was dead, so its not really disrespecting the dead in my opinion, but some people have to be so uptight about everything, and take all seriously. Lighten up? Because I don't care as much, I respect the Pope, he's done many things for the political world against Communism, but everyone has to die. I never really had any attachments to the Pope, so it didnt affect me as much.

And as I said, there's a difference between not caring for a guy and making an April Fool's Joke about his impending death. This has nothing to do with who he is, it's just not something you joke about. People aren't complaining about GHB because we're all fanboys of the Pope, we're complaining because it's really poor taste no matter who it is that's dying. Like you claim yourself, you respect the Pope, without having any attachments to him. In contrast GHB was being disrespectful, and that's why people are so "uptight" as you claim. I don't see why that seems to bother you more than this so-called joke does.
