Radiohead is my favourite. Ok Computer deserves the spot in my opinion.

        no acdc..
not black sabbat - born again..

        Throughout time, there’s been
        crimes, throughout our history
But not as great, as the one of late, affecting you and me
Once a nation proud and free, and now we’re weeping sorrow’s tears
Tragedy’s approaching, it’s worse than all your fears

        Come on my countrymen
Come on and take a stand
Don’t let ‘em take away your land

        the Wenger bus is coming
and all the kids are running
        from London to Manchester
        cos he's a child molester

I could be wrong but it seems all the public did was put a list of 125 albums in order so 25 fell off the bottom. I don't think they had any choice in what appeared on the original 125 list.

The 25 that didn't make it:

Alicia Keys - Songs in a Minor
Badly Drawn Boy - The Hour of Bewilderbeast
The Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde
          Carole King - Tapestry
The Chemical Brothers - Dig Your Own Hole
          The Cure - Disintegration
The Darkness - Permission to Land
          David Bowie - Hunky Dory
Dizzee Rascal - Boy in da Corner
Elvis Costello - My Aim Is True
Fatboy Slim - You've Come a Long Way, Baby
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Welcome to the Pleasuredome
Ian Dury - New Boots and Panties!!
Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
Lloyd Cole and the Commotions - Rattlesnakes
Missy Elliott - Miss E... So Addictive
Norah Jones - Come Away With Me
          NWA - Straight Outta Compton
Roxy Music - For Your Pleasure
          Scissor Sisters - Scissor Sisters
Sly and the Family Stone - There's a Riot Goin' On
Soul II Soul - Club Classics Vol. One
          Van Morrison - Astral Weeks
          The Who - Who's Next

So only 1 Led Zep album to vote for.. 1 Queen, 1 U2, 1 Prince, 1 Black Sabbath etc. 3 beatles albums to vote for but I'd suggest abbey road is better than anything rod stewart's ever done. If you like your music towards the metal end you're screwed. No AC/DC, metallica, motorhead, aerosmith. INXS kick anyone?

No 100 greatest albums voted for by the public would ever have kraftwerk in it.

Still it made for some ok tv which I guess was the point, and always good to see robbie williams and the darkness doing badly.

Btw. when did tubular bells stop making these lists?

I couldn't care about what is in the top whatever.

However, I agree with PJ on Oasis. What's the Story (Morning Glory) is one of my most cherished albums of all time.

I also agree with Rudy, QotSA need more credit.

Weezer - Blue Album, For what Peejay said.

OK Computer belongs to be in the top 10, but not number one.

Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Band definitely deserves to be number one.

Queen should be a little higher maybe, but The Clash at 44? Jesus christ, the Brits have no taste at all. Even when it comes to their own kin.

why are you guys even discussing this list? it was 100 albums out of a predetermined 125, those types of lists are always idiotic. if you want to discuss a "best albums of all time" list, why don't you take the Rolling Stone 500? with that in mind, most of what shade, conc, and pj said is on the money

It's being discussed because we'e judging it from the opinion that its wrong

Most music discussions are pointless. The fact that only British people voted already nullifies the top 100. I'd actually like to see a top 100 that encompasses more than just pop.

It's all good fun though, definite fun thread although I hate its basis

                        Some comments about comments.

                        1. I always though Air was pretty huge in England. Is conc's not enough exposure comment really accurate there?

                        2. Conc you don't know Kraftwerk or Primal Scream? I just lost respect for you.

                        and regarding Verthanthi

I'd put Surfer Rosa on there, but not necessarily high. - disagree strongly. Not top 100

                          1. The "exposure" thing was me trying to say "I haven't been exposed to them much." I know they're fairly big... hell, even Div Rides went to a release party of theirs in New York a while ago.

                          2. Go crank up your Lindsay Lohan CDs, Sleepy Weasel.

Anywho, yes the list is BS. Then again this is going to be one heavily beaten dead horse anyways.
