Well that's mainly due to the fact that the Xbox is basically a shitty computer while the ps2 is a console. Now I know tons of you are going to try to pull that " it's a console also" bullshit, but it's really just a crappy computer running as a console. Besides, I would like to see some Xbox original games (Ninja Gaiden is good shit, I'm hearing the same about Jade Empire) that are really good, instead of mainly ports. Xbox simply doesn't have a large library of quality games, IMO. I will admit they have a few really good games, but not nearly as many PS2 games. Gamecube...I dunno what happened with that system. Look, just because it's stock parts instead of some proprietary bullshit doesn't make it any less valid, it just makes the production cost cheaper. It's a stupid argument to begin with, seeing as how consoles got their start by being "home computers." If you gots beef with that, I've got an Atari 400 ready to fight. Don't make me bust out Bruce Lee on cassette.

Now I know the "it's a cmputer " argument is weak, but damned if I'm not sticking by it. While the ps2 and Gamecube seem geared more so towards being actual game consoles, it always seems to me that Microsoft just wanted to cash in on console gaming, saw a shitty computer they were using as a bookshelf and decided to tweak that to "fit in". I agree that they all started out as (and are moving towards being) home computers, I just don't see it as much of a game console as the others.
In terms of the ps2's library, I can think of a hell of alot more games I'd want to play on it rather than the Xbox. IMO, the xbox gears moreso towards sports, fighting games and other random shit, while the ps2 has kept a strong library of RPG's, Action games and racing games.

Intelligent player? Have you talked to half the halo fans? Look at the topic poster, prime example right there. Please tell me some games for the xbox that require some intelligence, that aren't ports. Half the xbox library is just ports, what I've been trying to get at is that it needs more good original games. I don't care how many good ported games it has, I want to see quality start there, not end there.
