I am probably going to purchase a PS3 and a Revolution, myself. I want the PS3 because I like a lot of Sony's games, and I want the Revolution for the classics, mainly. I'll probably get some other Revolution games as well, but my main focus will be on the PS3 for newer gaming.
      I'm back.

No idea, but Sammy vs Capcom should be headed here soon... hopefully.

If both companies would ever grow up, Marvel vs DC would be the best, but I know that'd never happen.

                PS3 Price revealed - $465 bucks.

                http://ps3.ign.com/articles/615/615745p1.html

                d. Officials from Sony apparently told the newspaper that PlayStation 3s would sell in Japan for "less than 50,000 yen each." That translates to about $465 US dollars.
                ...

If Mainichi Shimbun is correct, gamers will be asked to pay a hefty price for the high-end functionality.

Man I can't afford multiple systems if they are all going to cost 400+. and there's no way I'm buying a system for $465 bucks unless it has at least 6 games that I want to buy. As it stands now there's no way I'm getting a ps3 anytime soon after it launches. It took me a year (no job) to even save up for the ps2, and that included 6 months before it came out.And just to put that into perspective, the ps2 IMO has about 15 games that I would consider purchase-worthy atm.
My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

                  I'm a Nintendo Fan..
Was dissapointented when Nintendo didnt show anything at E3 expo, but i guess its a good thing cause people steal nintendo's ideas(analog stick, rumble pack, wirless controllers). Nintendo Will show the specs, controllers, etc At the Spaceworld(Nintendo's Convection, sort of like E3 but only Nintendo). As 4 the other 2 i don tknow

Didn't read everything but here is a dutch article on it (translated by me, so sorry for spelling mistakes) Atleast I know IBM wins, they produced all cell proccessors for all 3 systems.

Sony and Nintendo revealed their new game consoles this past week. What can we expect from the Playstation 3 en de Revolutions? Atleast they are good at calculus

Sony opened the E3 in Los Angeles by revealing the Playstation 3, 4 days after Microsoft introduced the Xbox3 to the public. Expected was that Sony's new console would be available around the christmas Holidays but the fans have to wait till spring of 2006, while the new XboX will be lying under the christmas tree. Nintendo fans even have to wait with somewhere next year. What do the new consoles have to offer?

                    Playstation 3
Sony has been padding their own shoulder for a while because of their cell-processor, the beating heart of the new game console. The special, by IBM designed processor has 8 slaves wich can do math as fast as the headprocessor. This gives you the mathcapacaty of a healthy supercomputer from a few years ago. Along with the special graphic processor, this gives you so much power that the gaming experience will be realistic as possible. The ps3 games are on blu-ray dvd-disc's wich can contain 6 times as much data as the normal dvd en the system can be expended with a hard disk. Room enough for high quality videoimages and the playstation 3 can deliver that in HDTV-format (High definition televison). The console even has special HDMI-connections (high definition multimedia interface) for the latest tvscreens. A (wireless) networkpossibility is standerd in the gameconsole and it's possible to connect 7 controlers wireless to the ps3. Who posses a PSP, can connect this to the PS3 without a wire. What possibilities that offers isn't exactly clear, but Sony has undoubtely thought about that. There already has been a discussion about payed downloadservices for the ps2 and psp. The new console can play games from the previous 2 consoles, the playstation and playstation 2, and on top of that it's able to play cd's dvd's and sacd's (super audio cd's).

                    Revolution
Different then Sony, Nintendo didn't release too much information about the Revolution. The most remarkable news abuot the console: games for the old nintendo game consoles can be downloaded via a special webservice, and can be played on the Revolution. If this feature will cost you money isn't sure yet, but the answers seems obvious. Via the same services players will be able to get new gamelevels and characters for the revolution games, for money. The revolution also has special by IBM developed system. The codename is 'broadway' en there isn't much more known about it atm. That's about as much as we know about the graphic processor called 'hollywood'. What is known is that the Revolution can also play Gamecube games and after buying a little exstension you can also play dvd's on it. The gameinformation can be saved on a sd-cart. And with a wireless networkconnection you can also hook the Nintendo DS onto the revolution. Special games will be produced wich will use the WiFi-possibilities of the revolution.

                    The winner
Wich console will eventual win the heart and money of the gamer isn't really clear yet. It mostly depends on the quality of the games. All consoles can do math, but if it's gonna be fun, who knows. We can say IBM is the laughing 4th for now. Because all consoles got their beating heart from IBM.

                    Code:
                                Xbox Playstation Revolution

Bluetooth on a PS3!? fucking sick kid.

I'm going to get the Revolution. It is inevitable. I have bought every Nintendo system (including the Virtual Boy, but I never had a Game Boy pocket).

I'll also probably get the XBOX360, just because it looks fucking sick.

From what I understand, is that nintendo is gonna suck hardcore, and that's it's gonna cost you more then the game console itself to actually get something out off it, you have to buy something extra to play dvd's, for games you have to buy new levels and guys, etc. etc. etc.

I am prob getting the ps3, but it's prob not gonna be until like 2007, or later 2006..

What sucks is all the systems are seeming to going to blue ray disks... And that some agency is asking all the major brand names to not come out with a device to copy blue ray disc...

Plus, I'm sure they're gonna make it harder to install a mod chip in the thing...

                            I dunno, we'll see...

Like I said above. Graphics are way less of an emphasis in this battle in the console war, and more on launch titles and "on the horizon" titles.
