I thought I should point out, before it goes any further, about the "single versus 3 processors" thing.

By its very nature a Cell Processor is a multiprocessor.
The prototype built as a standard had not 3, but 8 distributed processors.
I've seen listings for as many as 64 distributed processors forming a Cell architecture.

That is why you see just "Cell Processor" listed, and a floating point performance over twice what is listed for an Xbox.

Now as for me, I don't really care, cause I'm not going to spend money on any gaming console, and haven't really since the first series playstation that I no longer have. But I thought you might want that little tidbit.

The fact that ps3 can play all the games made for the past playstations is a good enough reason for me to make it my choice of the next-gen consoles.

I'm sorry, but the old Xbox controllers were the best, fit my hands perfectly and it just felt like a solid piece of hardware. Now with these small 'futuristic' whatever looking controllers, I feel like I can just snap them in half. I got this large wireless PS2 controller which is basically the original Xbox controller of PS2 controllers, only wireless. It's perfection.

Which begs the question. Will the old PS2 controlers work on the PS3 or will there be no controller ports cause of the all wireless?

There is no power lead in that picture, those are your controller and memory card ports...

Which brings up another good design question about the Revolution: Wouldn't wires coming out of the top of the thing make it top-heavy and prone to fall over? I mean, the base would have to weigh something god-awful for it not to, right? Because I know if I'm playing four player games with my friends, we're spread out all over the living room, and an errant tug at the controller cord isn't out of the question. It looks like this thing would just fall over.

Dumb design choice, if you ask me. I'm really kind of disappointed with this generation's choice of design overall.

Well I think the bottom base will be held up by a support structure, like the one in the picture... Only questions is, what's going to keep it there? Suction cups or an adhesive?

Either way, I think they should just keep to the modern way of laying them flat... Instead of trying to impress everyone with this new layout... Though, Nintendo needs to take more risks with things, more so then they have been in the past...

So more power to them if they can perfect everything in time for it to sell on the markets...

The Revolution controllers will be wireless so that won't be much of an issue.

I don't know if this was mentioned or if it is in fact releveant but do you know revolution will be roughly the same size as 3 standard dvd boxes.

I thought about that too, but why are there controller ports if the controllers are wireless, then? Just so you have the capability to use wired ports? Because if that's the case, then my problem still stands if you want to use wired controllers.

Am I the only one who actually likes the original Xbox controllers? Sure I like the PS2 ones too, but I really like the old Xbox ones.
