Mayo, If you don't want to read it or feel the need to take shots at me because I (dun dun dun) posted on a message board; as far as I know, no one's holding a gun to your head forcing you to read, reply, or even take part. And, certainly no one's asking or forcing you to be crude about it. No one else needed to reply, but I understand why you guys did, I respect the fear that must come with the possibility that someone might read what I posted and think of you what they obviously think of me. You want to disassociate yourselves with me, because in some deep part of you, it matters how lame you seem in the eyes of others.... If it will speed the process, I bow down to you oh lord of the message boardand video game, you are much better than me at everything, I was crying when I posted this thread, and I certainly am having an identity crisis. All the things I say are bullshit, and I am certainly a complete newb for posting on this message board without being more l33t. I apologize for all the horrors I've commited upon you. You Mayo, Eeks, yung, and everyone else who replied here for no reason at all, are the better men. .......Anyhow, besides the debacle this thread has become (and lets not mince words, you've all expected an argument, even yung's reply was heated with 'put on your boxing gloves' sentiment, but it's not going to happen.) I think it can be salvaged by this:
You asked what the point is; well, if you can't find something intellectual or constructive to say, please put me on your ?ignore, don't read the threads I post in this forum, and generally don't involve yourself in something thats none of your business and that you're considerably not involved in. With all my blessings, please have as little to do with me as possible, hell, don't even reply to this post, it'll improve your life by at least 10 fold to keep your nose out of this entire issue.

Notice I dont ask for people to be nice. I do ask you to either hate me completely, and if thats the case: all the more power to ya', wild stallions couldn't drag me to care. Or, alternativley, be friendly, be nice and we can all enjoy our time playing this game together.
No one can ever expect universal acceptance among any grouping of people, especially in an online setting where half the things you say are taken too literally or out of context or mis-understood all together. My aim is not to make people like me, (don't care) it's to have fun in a video game, and try to make other people's play time as fun. The way I go about this is by being nice, mannered and polite to people no matter what, in this instance it seems to be to my detriment, because I've been called no less than a motherfucker, and my words 'bullshit'. I don't mind, but if you're going to hate me, do it properly, not half assed.

My problem; (and I doubt this will solve anything but it's worth saying anyhow) Cold indifference, like the shclack I've read in responce to this thread: this cynical disassociation, is not appreciated, and is as trivial as yung's original attempt to give me advise when whiterabbits asked me to leave their chat, (which I did politley after asking why and all that) and all yung could manage was an irritating amount of presumption and insulting condesension.

yung, I'm not obsessing, in this thread I'm saying to you yung; this is more than enough, don't talk to me in the game again, you don't seem to like me or something, so make life easier on yourself and put me on ?ignore, it's less stress for you, and I don't have to read your trite attempts at insult. Since I've NEVER started a conversation with you, I think all the bases are covered in the 'lets never speak to one another' issue. Don't type anything in response to anything I say in the game, don't presume that you can tell me how to conduct myself, and certainly don't insult me, don't even reply to this post, let it die.

I can't change the world, let alone your perseptions of me or how you think. But, I can still be a kind and polite person, thats my perogative, my vested interest if you will. It may not be yours, and I can and do respect that. If your prerogative is to be the person who calls others on a message board online nasty names, thats your prerogative, and its your right to be like that, but don't bug me, I'm just here to play a video game.

Thats all I'm going to post. Take my non-responsivness for what it is: I don't care and don't want to see or hear another word on the subject, Especially when I'm playing in game.

I was pretty depressed when I got harassed and stalked by some idiot in the game. After adding couple more names to ignore.txt I felt better again.

(a) You're whiney, (b) you take this game way too seriously, (c) I think you're probably delusional in thinking your massive honors thesis posts are going to do ANYTHING to gain you the acceptance you so desperately seek.

I'm sorry guys, but Ender is right. He usually is, but since you guys are jaded by your elitism you fail to see his logic.

He feels that his honor has been insulted by yung (whom we all know to be a pompous numbskull.. sorry dude, you really are a flaming a-hole). It's my right to feel that way and Ender has the right to feel that way as well. It's really not that hard to treat people with respect in a 2d spaceship game, but some people have deeply rooted psychological problems that cause them to be arrogant and insensitive. They get their kicks from the negative aspects of this game's anonymity - and others enjoy the chummy attitude the game creates. Don't take me for a righteous ignoramus though, I have often acted like an asshole on here too. (mainly when I think someone is wrong and they need to be reminded of their stupidity).

This thread has served to entertain me on various levels.

Louis, it really is quite odd to expect the level of respect ender does in a 2d spaceship game. When you take into account that he seems to expect it from every person, in particular inside trench wars (which doesn't exactly have a high ratio of respectful to disrespectful people), well its kind of looney.
