    im thinking of geting one of these:
    1) Logitech MX500 Optical Mouse
    2) Logitech MouseMan Dual Optical
    3) Genius NetScroll Optical
    4) Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer

    any recomendations?

    at work, we put the genius ones out with new pc builds, they seem to do the job, but id rather have the Microsoft or the Logitech, because they look nice.

    The logitech software has a few known problems, and thats the only thing that would put me off. ( i cant remeber these problems, someone told me, and we had an issue where it screwed the cursor icon up. and we couldnt get it right again

                I like my Intellimouse Explorer. I ripped it open and put in a blue light instead. It looks pretty now. :]

                  I have an IntelliMouse Explorer, it is funtastic.

                  Blue light... Good idea.
                  Dishonor is like the scar on a tree, which time, instead of healing, only helps to enlarge.

                    Blue LEDs (in mice) track worse than red ones--colored light wavelength issues.

                    So if Jason sucks at CS, we all know why.
                    Music and medicine, I'm living in a place where they overlap.

                        Right you are my friend. My mouse got noticeably less responsive when I swapped the LEDs. All things considered though, I'd rather have a sexy blue mouse than be good at CS.

                          It's just worst mouse ever made. I have same, and can't even move 1 pixel at once, it goes jumpy as hell..
