I recently had to do an assignment on uncritical consumerism and sweatshops played a big part in it. While the whole idea of it is cruel, it's alot better for children to work in a factory than to be a prostitute or somewhere like a brick factory, where conditions are worse. Also, I'll bet £5 that everyone of us wears something that has been produced in a sweat shop.

P.S. I mentioned this a while ago....seeing the 'made in china' mark on one of the wrist bands and finding it ironic.

couldnt agree more, people are only wearing these things because theyve turned former slave labour products, into charity things, now into some shitty fashion accesory, be better if no one did anything at all.
