I will give you a hint: how would you cut any rectangular cake into two equal halves (it can be done from all angles if you are viewing it from the top).

Cut it from one corner to another diagonally?

Yea, what Miku said. If you cut it diagonally, both of the sides are the same. If the rectangular piece is cut out of the corner, both sides could be divided equally making the pieces that are left the same size.


Even if the piece isn't cut out of the middle, it'll still work. You just find the center of the missing piece, then the center of the whole entire thing, and then play connect the dots. You can sorta see the pink dots that are the centers if you look hard.

Well, it never says how large the rectangle that's remove is, or where it's being removed from, so we can assume that it's exactly as long as a side of the cake, and is actually being remove with the side of the rectangle on the side of the cake, which means that after the first rectangle was a removed, the cake would still be a rectangle, so you could just cut it straight down the middle.
